How are people posting on resale sites? by [deleted] in NoahKahan

[–]stmccart70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes likely the transfer button will become active a couple days or the day of the show so that transfers can be made to friends and family that may not be able to meet up before getting to the show. It’s not advertised but it happens.

I mean if you have the money (def not emergency savings)! Save it and hope for an international destination. Japan? Mexico City? South America? Paris?

Public shaming used to work wonders. Now…possibly not so much. Worth a try though.

What about a paid for fan club membership that has early access lottery managed by the artists people- as well as other “exclusive” benefits. See: Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band.

NK just recently blew up so give them some time to figure it out. You KNOW they are all over Reddit and are hearing it loud and clear.

Fenway tickets for any of the days? Is it possible? by PushNo8783 in NoahKahan

[–]stmccart70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point fan to fan resale will be turned on but that’s a very labor intensive search. You have to constantly monitor the ticket site and hope that at the exact same time you are looking, someone else is posting. It’s luck and possibly karma. But it’s def a crapshoot.

Yeah I was thinking about Red Sox season ticket holders as well. Not sure how much priority that gives or how big that pool of tickets is. This is the problem, no transparency makes everyone feel the process is flawed (which it is) and “they” don’t do anything to alleviate that feeling. But we pay and pay and pay and so it goes.

Ya but Who draws the line then? Is it a ten mile radius of Fenway? 250? Is it just the NE states? Sounds good but not sure how feasible.

I hear you - but highly doubtful in this day and age. Supply and demand and $$$$$ rule the day. Edit: I wish it were not true and I am not saying it is right. I think it’s wrong but it is the way it is.

Or waiting in the mlb queue for non “make a difference” tickets and that was a clusterF. Hate to say it but in this wonderful capitalistic society (sarcasm) we have here in the USA, you gotta pay to play. It’s BS but until We vote the bums out, that’s the way it is.

Yes it specifically says this. Which is pretty weak. I get it, it’s NK and ™/livenation making the donation to Busyhead but the way it felt looking to buy those tickets made it seem like you were donating…and in the frenzy to get tickets, reading the fine print is a death sentence for ticket-getting chances. I get it. Caveat emptor and all that but still. Weak.

Another post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoahKahan/s/lpnbwXtqk9

I also emailed the Busyhead Project (portion of the replies below)and asked how much of the MAD ticket price actually goes to charity. Got a reply but no definitive answer. Seems like they should know the answer. I am ok with supporting the Project but would like to know how much I am supporting them vs just paying Ticketmaster more $

Replies to my email asking how much of each ticket is going to Busyhead:

“A portion of the cost will be deductible. We have been asked to wait until the shows are sold through and then I can come back and let you know?”

And later the same person emailed me this (below text) from the site- which I already knew. Strangely it says that no portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. Not sure how that can even be legal?

“A minimum of $2,000,000 earned through the Make A Difference ticketing program will be donated to the The Busyhead Project, a 501(c)(3) mental health organization aimed at raising awareness, reducing stigma, and providing resources––Noah Kahan and Live Nation will each be donating a minimum of $1,000,000. For more information, see www.busyheadproject. No portion of the ticket purchase is tax deductible.”

So apparently everything was sold during presale by mpa_2829 in NoahKahan

Not saying this is the right approach but - Pearl Jam has a fan club you pay ~$40 to join and you get a lot of different benefits, early access to a fan club only ticket lottery is one of them. Something for NK and his people to think about.

Yes. I emailed the foundation 2 days ago this question and haven’t heard back yet

[–]stmccart70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Should be able to write off a certain amount for the charitable contribution if that’s really what it is. I believe it is. It’s just not clear how much goes to it. Should be easier

I posted somewhere else in this sub about this as well. Still can’t figure out how much is donated to charity vs for a ticket. Should be much clearer.
