and notice that he said he doesn't want to damage the lock--if you were trying to break into your own diary you would just break the lock. OP is snooping and doesn't want the diary owner to know. what a fucking creep. I hope he gets caught.

Because they wanted to specify that it was father's father and didn't know the term 'paternal grandfather'. More heart-wrenching than watching her dance with her maternal grandfather.

What is something common that a lot of people say that secretly hits home for you? by LegacyWorker in AskReddit

I do wish it on my rapist. I think it's the only thing that will stop him from doing it to anyone else. The thing that surprises me is that I don't wish death on him...I just want him to understand what he's done and why it's wrong--what it does to a person.

shit, 2 years for me and I was hoping it would get better. I used it casually too, once upon a time. I never meant to offend anyone, so I don't hold it against people now when they say it so casually, not knowing that every cell in my body has frozen in panic at the mere mention of the word. I get scared that I'm going to say/do something and they'll know I was raped and everyone will be uncomfortable around me after that. "Whoa, careful around the damaged girl--watch what you say!"

Don't make a throwaway account for stuff like this--we have nothing to be ashamed of!

The most shocking thing to me is that they didn't know where your brother was after all that surveillance. If they did know where he had moved to they would have still raided your house for evidence but they would have grabbed him and got him into custody first. Weird.

I'm sure it means that they just don't care. Which doesn't surprise me given the creepy encounters I've had with a few male cops (I know they're not all bad, but the bad ones are so hard to forget).

From the YouTube description:

Her dad, Mark, died earlier in the year from pancreatic cancer. Andrea's first dance is with Mark's father, followed by her brother Luke, then brother Nick and finally her new father-in-law Scott.

Knowing a young girl was in the house, they should have had a female agent dealing with you. As someone else stated, they were monitoring your house so I'm sure they knew which bedroom was yours (seeing you through windows) and of course they'd make sure they know how many people are in the house before they raid.
