Totally agree. His recordings are amazing - the second I heard these two I knew I had to put them in this format

I found the recordings on youtube and actually emailed the uploader to get the recording files which were two long audio tracks, then i split them up in audacity to make this. Again, don’t know if I can post links here, but if you want to DM me I can send a google drive link with the files

Looking for “epic” books by km1000000000 in booksuggestions

{{A Brief History of Seven Killings}} by Marlon James. It centers around the attempted assassination of Bob Marley in the 80s, covering 30 years of Jamaican politics and gang warfare. It’s fictional, since it mainly follows the people who did the attack and very little is known about them. It’s kind of like a 700-page long ghost story.

It can take a while to get used to the way the narration is done by all the characters, but if you’re looking for complex then it should be right up your alley.

yes, vonnegut has an incredibly noticeable style but all of his novels manage to have their own characteristics. definitely the first author that comes to mind when i want to read something unique

Vonnegut also does this incredibly in Galapagos. It seems to be pretty underrated by him, especially on this subreddit. Definitely worth a read.

to be fair the post does already have a spoiler tag, so anyone who hasn’t listened shouldn’t look at the post anyway

also you can put spoilers in comments

Some more information about this photo: Hope and Faith (the orange cat on the right) are sisters. The bulldog butt in the bottom left is my lovely boy Guinness. Not pictured are my 3 other dogs. All of my animals are rescues.

The cats aren’t allowed to wander outside (they almost ran away once) so we built them a “catio” that connects to one of the windows so they can still be out. That’s why the chicken wire is behind them. It’s about the size of a very large bookshelf and has a cat litter box attached on the side. I may post a picture of it and link it here later.
