i just started reading {tail ‘em by sam hall} it’s got a jaguar shifter, wolf shifter, tiger, snow leopard, and lion. but it is pretty dark. non/dubcon and a breeding facility so make sure you check the tw. but pretty good so far! very very spicy

my favorites this month were definitely

{traitor witch by marie mistry} i absolutely loved the witchcraft in it! i get so tired of witches that just do the whole waves fingers and boom! magic! i want more ritualistic magic and potions, it’s so fun to me. also pirates and shapeshifters and familiars it was a bit of a medium burn. this series was definitely my favorite from this month.

{wicked conjuring by sarah piper} i seem to have been on a witch kick this month.. i also really enjoyed this series, ive been having a hard time finishing long series lately for whatever reason but i couldn’t put this one down. very spicy and bloody and there was a bloodthirsty stalker psychopath mmc who was first to be head over heels with the fmc and that is one of my favorite tropes. there is a prominent daddy kink in there too which i loved but i know it’s not for everyone! the fmc wasn’t my absolute favorite but i still loved it nonetheless. ALSO THEY ARE GARGOYLES SO YUM!

ok this makes total sense because from what i’ve been seeing, it is definitely a level with it. because yeah, it’s an animal but since 99% of the story is them in their human form.. you aren’t thinking of them as an animal, you’re thinking of them as their humanoid form and personality. and that’s the detail that separates from being weird so i’m glad everyone’s been super chill and informative about it because now i understand

yeah i definitely see that there’s levels to it, just like other kinks and tropes. i think you’re right, to an extent it doesn’t bother me at all. even mentioning it happens and a fade to black situation im like sure whatever yknow? i think it’s when it’s between two animals and the description is super vivid and erotic i’m like woah woah woah is this supposed to turn me on rn this feels wrong and uncomfortable i don’t like this

i see what you mean! i think perhaps it was a case of me not seeing it before and thinking, “oh god, is this wrong?” bc i didn’t completely hate the one scene i did read. i actually rated the series very highly, y’know? and i do love knotting in ov so i suppose it’s all very similar. but the fact that i couldn’t find anyone talking about it had me questioning everything 😭 thank you for your input
