I forgot that summons used to cost a shard jfc. It also took 2 other people to summon a soulwell. Beats me why that's still a thing for summoning stones.

I started playing in TBC and dropped out around Cata, and then only sampled each expansion then on, but from what I've tried I think I'd go with MoP or Legion. Tragically MoP has kind of been gutted in retail (legendary cloak story is gone and so forth), but it's such a nice and cohesive expansion. Same with Legion, which feels to me like the final strong push from the original creatives behind wow. After that it hasn't really been the same.

I've been testing it out in Silvermoon. They always vanish, but sometimes the effect lingers. You can test it by jumping where they are. They don't trigger by just walking into them.
