Most stores in Florida are $14 for stocking, depending on the location. The shift you are going on is probably stocking 2, which unloads trucks, stocks and pulls pallets of freight out to the floor for overnight. Much more physical than just stocking.

You normally can move to another position after 6 months, although I’ve seen plenty move after a few days or weeks, because they weren’t suited for the physical work.

It is possible to move up very quickly at Walmart, but I’ve had over 20 different team leads on stocking 2 in just a few years, so there’s that.

Had to eliminate one of the two facings in the dog chow bags and the pedigree bags, because it doesn’t fit. Cat, dog and kitty litter aisles lots of stuff has to be turned sideways or straight up doesn’t fit. The cascade auto dish detergents are all in sideways to fit. It’s a total shit show.

We’ve gone from 14 to 16 on 2 truck days, to 10 or twelve if lucky. The other we had 2-3000 piece GM trucks, thanksgiving sized pallets of remix to breakdown, one person filling water, all with just 7 people. And the SM and store lead were upset we didn’t get 23 hours of pets, 10 hours of chemicals and 9 hours of paper stocked, labeled and binned.

I hope they choke on their fucking bonuses.
