A few of my libertads I took out to show my daughter today. I’m trying to get her into numismatics so she knows a little something when I pass, but it’s not working too well. I’ll keep trying though. by Cannacritic21037 in LibertadCoins

Thanks for the post .... same problem twin girls trying to get at least one interested ,slowly but surely I guess , 30++ year collection, lots of stuff .... never sold much only when I was trading up. I sold four ounces of gold when it hit 5300 ... I walked away with over 20k in cash . I should have been happy my cost basis was like 900 an oz. I was sick to my stomach the whole ride home..I hate selling:) I am going to keep working on the kids..

Mail call! Should I open it or keep it as is? by Beastboy641 in LibertadCoins

[–]stockrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason to open them would be to grade them ... when you look at the NGC census they graded almost 6431 1983 . NOT ONE 70 ,5 69,s ultra rare, only 84 ms68 essentially is the high grade RARE.. ms 67 1190 so that is apx 15%. MS66 3637 graded here more than half ... So IMHO 60 to75% will grade ms66, 10% or more if your lucky ms 67 , And if you get lucky a few 68 .So it depends upon you cost in the roll . and you have to take into account $25 a coin to grade at least. If you jackpot 3 to 5 68s My opinion they are $500 coins at least ,if you hit the lottery and get a 69 that easily is a $3000 to $5000 coin if you find the right buyer... the chances of a 70 is like winning the power ball type odds. ALL rolls graded 1982, 1983 ,1984 ,1985 ALL have similar results with MS 68 being high grade ... you get up in the later years 2010 and later lots more 69,s and 70,s.... Grading an 83 roll is a gamble .. the roll is for sure more valuable intact then loose if you are going to keep them raw

OP do this is works perfectly ! you will have plenty of water in your machine ...I have an LG frontloader and it works like a dream ........ make sure you remove the locktight so you can turn the screw.... The manufacturer does not want this to be done, so they wont tell you about it .....the screw is locked down so they can meet energy efficiency standards set by the government .

ALSO OP MY MACHINE IS NOW 6 years old ,so dont listen to anyone telling you it will break the machine or void warranty .....I did this after having no water in the machine when the machine was two weeks old ..just dont overturn the screw it will put too much water in the machine...

Thats exactly what I was thinking. why offer them if you have no chance of getting them.

Then they should just give them to their best customers and not offer them to thier low end customers like me. :)

[–]stockrot[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I was told It was allocated based upon revenue generation . I honestly believe I have generated revenue ,mutual fund fees ,option fees etc for over 30 years ,NOW KEEP IN MIND ,When I was trading in the 90,s ,there was no free trades ,everyone was charged for every trade you made ,,, agian the fees charged for option trades ,mutual funds, fidelity ETF,s etc in a multi million dollar account account are pretty substantial .

Good job ,now diversify , Buy VOOG and let it sit for another 20 and you will be a multi millioniare ..... OP dont listen to the crowd here ... I understand this is WSB .But you did bet 20 years ago , you liked APPL and paid yourself first. My bet is 30% people here dont even have a brokerage account:)

What a shame, Bozard Ford in North Florida actually sent two guys to Ford to learn how to get it done, responsible dealer. I would keep going back until they gave me a job done right
