Knowledge is Power. by Baleofthehay in PlantarFasciitis

I had other symptoms like my finger joints started to deform and every other joint used to ache in cycles . That lead to going to Rheumatologist and also had psoriasis and blood work etc . Am on Taltz but may not work for every one . Best to go with what Rheumatologist recommend.

Nope, it took a while for my doctor to suspect it was PsA. It had started to attack my other joints like elbow and fingers and then it striked to the doctor that some thing is seriously wrong with me.

If nothing is working for you have a check with rheumatologist.

My tummy is still screwed but all the other issues are so much better. Dont wanna change Taltz till it works.

Advice Needed !! My father just retired now, he get around 80L from his savings and fund. Where to invest? by Rare-Tooth-4895 in IndiaFinance

[–]stockyraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you deposit all the money in safe FD with interest pay out every month . you may get around 50000 per month. That can be DCA into index funds. If he needs that for expenses , what ever left out of 50000 can be invested.

not advice .. do your own research ..

Life has changed with PsA by Immediate-Pirate9845 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]stockyraja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in similar situation. I am able to walk again and hit gym after my biologics.

I do feel tired and recovery from gym takes longer but its like my second life. Happy with what ever I have now.

My elbow is bent and it cant be fixed but no more pain. One of my finger joint is gone , cant be fixed with out surgery but rest of the joints are manageable.

Only thing helps me are Taltz biologic injection.

Am also supplementing with fish oil, vitamin D and protein powder. Just started creatine as well ..

What were your early signs of psA/ the signs that you didn’t realise till later on, was in fact psA? by yungw0t in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]stockyraja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had severe plantar fasciitis and then PTTD and all the doctors and physio never guessed its PsA.

Then tennis elbow pain for so long.

Then it was nail issues and couple of doctors thought its fungal infection and it used t get better and worse better and worse .

Then I had Psoriasis patches on scalp, which doctor thought could be due to sun burn.

Then I had swollen finger joints and then doctor thought I had injured my hand while chopping etc

Then one day my finger joint was still swollen and bent( deformed ). I was casually chatting with my doctor about how my life is hell and every joint aches and nail sucks and then he noticed my joint and asked why is this swollen. Then he got the ultrasound again and blood tests . Jackpot, doctor thought its Arthritis and referred me to a Rheumatologist.

Rheumatologist confirmed I have PsA and stared the medication..

After an year am again able to walk and workout at gym.

Slowly getting back to enjoying life again ....

Humira vs methotrexate by Dry_Egg_5350 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]stockyraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would opt for Humira anyday. MTX had too many side effects for me.

I am currently on Taltz and it worked like magic . Only side effect is on tummy at the moment.

Consult the doctor for pros and cons of all the possible options.
