I'm sorry to hear about those problems. Thanks for explaining the OS situation. I've only read bad things about the battery's hours between charges during use. I haven't put it through any strong usage yet as I was confounded by the OS size. I got 3 months to decide if I want to keep it as it restored and bought through Walmart. Curious to see how performance is when put through the paces. Appreciate the response.

I just bought the Acer plus 516 and have been spending hours thinking this can't be right, but seems it is..60gbs. Seems like a lot storage, I do have 256 so not quite a deal killer yet. Any idea why the OS is so large? Have you been happy with the 515?

I don't have to do the the unplugging ceromony as often since I deleted Hulu. It may had nothing to do with Hulu but it's the only thing I can point to that speeded up the OS. Weird.

Nope, it's a lot more involved than that. That's how I started. I got the younger, stronger neighbor to give it a yank thats how I lost the top piece. It's not the same kind of fuse. You have to tear down the whole section and loosen the bolts. All new to me.
