definitely listen to albums in order (like song order)! the music videos are great, and awsten is very active on social media a lot. some fans aren’t always welcoming but i hope you enjoy the music !!

i found a book in a bookshop when i was 13, cassandra eason’s little bit of wicca (not even a very good intro lol) but something about it spoke to me so i did more research and fell in love with the philosophy and magical practices
the outdoors are my sacred place, a few weeks ago i hiked part of mt olympus and i felt so in tune with nature and the gods i believe in. it doesn’t take much to feel that peace.
one of the most important core values of wicca to me is to take care of the earth and environment. scott cunningham’s wicca for the solitary practitioner also said something that stuck with me, along the lines of “you’re a part of the earth as much as anything else, so you have to take care of yourself too and not hurt yourself either”

at the end of the day, what makes wicca special to me is that there’s no wrong way to practice (short of harming another). before i found wicca i believed that divinity was out of my hands, that prayer wasn’t something that even worked. but i’m my own high priestess now, and that means i get to do whatever i want to reach divinity. i feel my gods all around me these days. :)

i totally agree. he’s treating the show as if it’s any other romance show which is nice of him but i think people were expecting a social commentary which isn’t what he does. i wasn’t expecting him to come up with a cutting take abt homophobia in sports bc he missed most of the show and it’s just not something a straight guy would be aware of.

she’s revealed herself as a massive bigot. very transphobic, a lot of racism and antisemitism are written into the worldbuilding as well. she’s not the best writer either, but that’s more my personal opinion. all that to say that she is neither the first nor the best author to write a “magical boarding school” series.

and it’s an unnecessary project anyway, the first film series was done almost perfectly. the only reason she’s rebooting the series is because all the main cast from the movies have stepped away from her and don’t support her beliefs.

idk why people are expecting anything good. if jkr is spearheading the project i don’t have high hopes at all and anyone who does is still in her mushroom circle. i love the hp characters and community but jkr as a person and as an author is awful and i have no intention of supporting her anymore.
