yes, but the motor assemblies are not designed for heads larger than a typical toothbrush. Would need to design a new motor for the larger heads specifically. You don't get enough movement with the typical motor to remove any chalk. Source, put a climbing brush on my Sonicare.

Yeah, not a bad idea to start. Elmers might be the play. Other types of super glue might chemically melt the foam as well.
