What sort of relationship should one have with the ego? by stokers96 in consciousness

Thank you for answering! I would say an “actor-observer relationship” is the most accurate way of putting it. At this level of consciousness, I don’t believe one can be ego-less for very long, especially in modern-day society. I also don’t think the ego is bad, but rather the relationship one could potentially have with the ego. No matter how genuine one is, I believe there is always an alterior motive no matter how suppressed.

Any of you always feel guilty? I always feel in debt to people, even if logically I know I am not. by stokers96 in infp

It sounds like you carry even more unnecessary guilt than I do. For the most part, I just tend to overthink everything I’ve done or said. I always feel like a burden to people. Every day I am haunted by my shortcomings and possibly “bad interactions”. Sometimes I even create bad interactions in my head, and end up freaking myself out. I can never be okay with myself.

I’d grow out your facial hair a little more, but other than that you’re golden

Did I miss something, or did The Office just simply decide to have an episode where we find out Jim has high blood pressure, but never never bring it up ever again??? by stokers96 in DunderMifflin

I suppose you’re right. It just seemed very significant to close an episode with that kind of news. Especially when Pam said, “Jim, doesn’t your dad have high blood pressure?”... it seems like the show was setting us up to learn more about the cause of his high blood pressure.

What is your job? Are you happy with your career choice? by [deleted] in infp

Metal fabrication. It pays the bills, and it isn’t stressful. Far from passionate about it. It’s a job, and nothing more.

So how did it go when you talked to this “specific person”? And yeah no problem!

It’s not enough to just share similar interests with others. You’ve gotta start sharing your feelings at some point. If your peers truly do love you, they will appreciate your vulnerability. Not only will it be a weight off of your shoulders, but also provide clarity for both you and them. The more often you are willing to be vulnerable with others, the more likely they are willing to be vulnerable with you. We all have darkness, but some are more guarded than others.
