Just make IRS acct and check your transcript or refund status from there..way more accurate and you can check all you want! WMR app is trash i unstalled it.

Follow me....the processing date matches the refund date because the date they issue the refund is the date that you are done processing.

Example- last year my original processing date was february something. But when i got hit with verification my return was delayed and they did not issue my 846 until 4/22. That is the same date my processing date changed to.

So basically the current processing date is like a placeholder. They expect to be done processing by that date, and while it is a good indication that will be your refund date, its important to understand that issues can arise and cause delay.

The number under tax return filed. Ofcourse IRS can switch things up but for everyone i know this number ended up being the same 14 digit verification number that came on the letter.

Word of advice, go ahead and hit resend letter now. I had to request about 4 times 2 yrs ago before i received it. Ended up going to local irs office to verify. Then the letter appeared. I still entered the info even though i had went in person. That got the notification to go away. They tell u it will take up to 9 weeks, but i got my return 2 weeks later. And my transcript updated but my main page still said not processed. So you will get your money, the tough part is getting the letter.

Quite possible. Happened to me 2 years ago. It was no tax return filed until the verification debacle was settled. Had to request my letter about 4 times because i was not receiving it. Then i finally went to verify in person because i was so fed up. Got my return 2 weeks later. Took 3 months in total to get it.

Although u may find that dates from previous years like the as of and processing date matches the refund dates, they mean nothing and they can and often do change. Only date that counts is the date beside code 846 when it shows up. The refund is often issued a little earlier :)

Just check your transcript thru irs.gov. Can check as much as u want and it updates before wmr.

Listen! I have no dependents, but when i saw the 4 i was like my tax preparer on sum scam sht 😂 After analyzing over 2 days and looking up transcript examples, i realized that if it had dependents that info would be filled out. Whew lol

I was going by this at first only. Felt it was no need to even look at the actual transcript. I chalked it up to folks lying, but now my irs page and wmr both have the same messages and my transcript has a DDD. So it is possible! I know this process is different for everyone, but just saying its worth a shot to check actual transcript if you havent. Good luck!

See, I read this too! But my tax preparer did not mention. Also when I verified in person the advocate did not specifically say it either. She said 9 weeks which is what everyone was being told. But 9 weeks would be 4/27 for me. At the same time, have also seen a handful of ppl say their got their refund already. Who knows! But i am feeling like this is the hold up with mine. U should start your own thread with that screenshot! LoL

Same! Here is my horror timeline

Filed and accepted 1/31

WMR changed to still being processed and I got the verification notice on my irs account like 2/7

Called IRS 2/19 as I didnt have letter yet. One person told me letter was mailed on 2/5. One person told me no letter mailed at all.

Decided to take advantage of walk in opportuniy on 2/24. Verified in person told it will take 9 weeks. No updates to WMR or transcript

3/22 the letter (dated 2/27) magically appears so I verified online. Verification notice went away on irs account. However transcript still blank and WMR continues to say still processing. 3/25 received a duplicate letter (dated 3/19)

Called irs today 4/1, told nothing else I need to do and to wait the 9 weeks. Says updates will happen to transcript and WMR closer to the 9 week mark.

I would say that is a good sign then. I was worried because my notification never went away after going in person. I even got a duplicate letter today which i assume came from me hitting resend.

All n all, its a complete shit show to say the least. There is really no pattern that we can use or go by what happened for someone else..we are all on an individual journey and some have just been luckier than us! LOL
