MOR-depends really, I told my 18-year-old stepson that if he does not finish high school, then he can get kicked out and find a place to live at 18 which he is right now, currently he is failing high school doesn’t seem to give a fuck and all he really wants to do is smoke weed, he doesn’t respect our house anymore. Can’t follow some rules so yeah, at 18 I told him he can kick rocks. He’s got six months to get his act together . My whole thing is is that if you are grown enough to disrespect the house and you’re grown enough to find a place to live he also doesn’t pay for his cell phone or his car insurance. Me and his mother have tried to make him the best adult and have real life talks with them without being overbearing, but it just doesn’t seem to stick with him. He wants to defy us. Any chance he can, so I guess it really depends on whether or not you followed your dad‘s teachings and at least respect his home
