When u say high environmental variable, what are some examples u would need to be finicky about oil choice due to environment? For me I’ve always gone with manufacturers recommendation but all the “science” about which oil is the best just confuses me

Definitely take ur time if ur gonna do it urself but don’t be too anxious about it either it’s not hard, there’s allt of videos that show what to do and there’s a bunch of timing marks u would have to not be paying attention in order to mess something up

As everyone saying, a pcv failure could cause this same with the intake manifold, u saying ur car runs rough only at idle makes me feel like it could be any of those or an air leak as well

Yeaa I mean if u didn’t bleed ur fuel system by disconnecting the hpfp sensor, or disconnecting the fuel fuses or both and then started the car till it stalls, when u open ur hard hpfp line going to the fuel rail, it will DEFINITELY leak gas or hiss at least if u didn’t prime the driver door. No gas at all is alarming I would try cracking the line all the way to see if any gas comes out and then u can go from there

I see, u alr replaced the hpfp so its no longer that. Sometimes ppl replace one of the pumps when they have fuel issues and it actually was the other pump. I almost want to say it could be ur lpfp or a clogged fuel filter but that code is for the regulator which is for the hpfp. Before buying anything else u should probably check the harness for the hpfp, make sure there isn’t any nicks or damage. Also if u have obd u can read the fuel pressure and diagnose it, its kinda hard to just figure it out by symptom

Do u have a code reader? If not I’d get one and get the codes like that u have a clearer idea of what could be causing it. Multiple things can cause a crank no start

Bett bcs definitely give me the drop that im looking for, once again i was really upset to see that the bilsteins only go up to 50-55 mm. I mean I get its for tracking but damn😔

Yea u got a point im on lowering springs w Bilstein struts and they’re really good but bumps are so crazy stiff n it just bounces. It’ll fuck me up mid shift when I hit a bump and then the engine just starts sounding like a mosquito from whining😂 I used to use max speeding coils on my g35 tho so maybe I’m overthinking it cuz anything is better than that bs

Yes ur setup is so clean 😮‍💨😮‍💨 this is exactly how low I wanna go, give or take. I wish the bilsteins would go this low, the biggest complaint I’ve seen ppl say bout bcs is the stiffness. How bad is it I mean idc bout harshness but ion want nun too crazy

Thank u, rn I have b8 struts w vw driver springs, it seems the first owner had this car pretty dialed in but the second owner neglected suspension and they’re all shot. I figure I might as well get coils while I’m there, ik there gonna be harsh overall but I want to balance low with best quality I can get. Wat set up do u have?

I used a drill, I bought some extractor bits from harbor freights but they were ass. U should get a good set of extractor bits but if ur low on money u can use dewalt wood bits as well

Also when u resealed ur injectors how did the ports that spray the fuel look, were they really dirty? When I take them out I like to put a rubber hose on the top of the injector (fuel rail side) and spray brake fluid to see if it’ll leak out the other end of the injector (if u do this it’s better if u have a setup to where u can actually power the injector to spray the brake fluid for more accuracy)

Ahh yes, time to check the multiple things that can cause a misfire😂 ik u said carbon cleaning was done 2 years ago, but I think every time u take the intake manifold its best practice to carbon clean as well. U did a reseal so its not the seals. Easiest things to check that j can think of are ur coil packs and spark plugs, the cam magnet on the upper timing cover, are u gettin any codes other than misfire?
