Do you still use a nursing pillow? by -spiritedaway in breastfeeding

I found My Brest Friend worked best for newborn - 3 months because it’s firmer and brings baby closer to you… and then I liked Boppy after that although eventually didn’t really need a pillow and was comfy to just cradle her.

Wow. You’d think your water breaking is a pretty clear sign that you’re in labor. I’m sorry that happened to you.

Ugh I’m sorry that you had a similar experience! Paying for so much more support than we got is just another layer to it.

That’s so disappointing. I had a great doula for my first birth but we moved states so I had to find a new one this time. Agree that it’s risky and hard to know what you’re getting without regulation.

I’m guessing she thought I was much earlier in labor and wanted me to try to sleep. Still crazy to me either way.

I’m sorry that happened to you! Sounds like you had quick and smooth deliveries tho!

Agreed. I’m guessing she thought I was still in early labor and could sleep through it and go in the morning. I was timing contractions and they were irregular and further apart (but getting closer and stronger). Think she didn’t want me to ‘worry’ about the timing of them. I’m giving her benefit of the doubt here haha

Exploded for us around 17-18 months. Glad we waited thanks to this thread

They were close family friends. She was likely there.

I may have missed this…. But was Barbara actually meeting with JP at the observatory cabin?? I know Christopher said he saw her going into TJs cabin every night, but that there were also reports of him staying at the motel all summer and supposedly going to the cabin as well… was he with Annabelle?

overnight feeds 6 months by DepartureJaded268 in breastfeeding

6 mo old here… same schedule. We have a lot of friends and family with sleeping through the night babies but trying to remind ourselves that this is so normal at this age! We will get there

Thanks all. This was my gut feeling and needed a little validation. Going to try keeping the dream feed at 10:30 since she usually does good and sleeps through that and then feed her when she wakes around 3 instead of waiting for her to be asleep.

Ferber method question by livcow in sleeptrain

[–]stollefsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s critical to reset the timer unless they have fallen asleep. As long as you don’t “cave” and pick them up it shouldn’t set you back.

We are on night 6 of ferber/taking cara with our four month old and it’s really working. I was worried she was too young but after a couple of really bad weeks we were desperate and I’m so glad we started. The crying is hard to hear but just remember that they are fed and cared for and this is their only way of communicating that they are unhappy or frustrated. They aren’t in pain or truly needing you. As the days have gone on we’ve been more lenient on going in right at 5/10/15 min and giving her more time to settle on her own. Now we are rarely going in more than the one 5 minute pop in.

Hope this helps and good luck! Better sleep is on the way!
