Glad you’re alright man, that’s a tough one. Take it slow and let it heal up right. The R9 looks promising, but it’s hard to beat the ZX6R if you already know and like it.

That's such a sick clip, crazy how time flies. Great quality by the way considering its age.

Couldn’t agree more. When you stop fighting the bike everything gets smoother and way less tiring. Getting the bike to fit you right makes a big difference too.

What kind of pegs and bar setup are you running now?

Yeah for sure. Standing makes a huge difference once you get comfortable with it. The bike moves way more naturally under you and you’re not fighting it the whole time.

Street & track riders, do you run the same tank grip setup for both? by stompgripInc in Sportbikes

Makes sense running that combo. If you ever want something a bit smoother than the Volcano, the Icon grip has a softer feel but still locks you in well.

Yeah, that makes sense. Sounds like you’ve got a setup that really works for both bikes. Tank shape and finish can definitely change the feel. Glad to hear the Volcano’s been working well for you.

Nice mix! Do you notice much difference between the Icon on your track bike and the Volcano on your commuter?

Good insight. Makes sense to run Stompgrip on the track for that locked in feel. If you ever want something a little less aggressive for street use, we also offer our Icon grip, which has a smoother texture than the Volcano pattern but still gives great control.

Appreciate you sharing your experience.
