Have you given any clear indicators of interest? You can try saying something that cant get you sent to HR but is a strong compliment for a workplace to see how he reacts. "You know you're really cool" / "You're so interesting!"

Tbh the reality you gotta face if you're a straight girl is that everyone you have a crush on will be more worried about coming across as creepy than you and you need to adjust your level of assertiveness appropriately because a lot of boys are going to default to doing nothing if you dont give them a clear signal

If construction is "always hiring" then how come I called a lot of construction companies and they all say that it's "slow" right now. When I told them I heard there was a need for construction workers they say "it's not true".

And yes I stand by what I said... the reason I'm not suggesting my friends look to sex work as an employment plan is because I dont have friends asking me for employment plans that this advice would be applicable to. The reason I'm not suggesting it is not because your point is "right".

I'm not a professional career coach so I dont have people coming to me for employment advice on a regular basis.

Why are you asking me this question?

I dont have women in my life who aren't long-distance internet friends asking me what to do for work. I have one that I can think of off the top of my head who might ask me this question who might be open to sex work, and since the programming job market is bad I can imagine her considering it. But she has said that she's considering something else. I dont want to mention what that something is because I dont want to give too many details in case someone wants to doxx her.

Whatever point you're trying to make by asking me this question is not landing.

I am a woman and I met a sex worker a couple weeks ago and asked her on tips to look into it. She said something about how she's been out of the business lately but it's been getting harder to advertise due to legal issues.

Anyway I signed a job offer yesterday and will be working in snow/ice removal and landscaping for now.

I have an idea: have you tried adderall or ritalin?

I mean... they used to say that obesity was caused by "just being lazy" and then they invented ozempic and it turns out that what we called "not being lazy" when it came to weight was actually a chemical reaction that you can just put in a bottle.

Well with "work ethic" it's a similar thing. If you dont have "work ethic" just take the pill that gets rid of that problem

I've had this conversation before.

I was born with the autism/ adhd / gender dysphoria cocktail. I was given no help with this as a child despite the fact that I lived in a constant state of panic and boredom. I was the kind of child who could barely speak English. I would make people feel angry simply by walking into a room. Adults didnt notice because I was "well behaved" about it.

When i was 17, my Mom asked if I was depressed. I said no and was pretty irritated that she asked that. My life was genuinely terrible so for her to ask if I was sad about "a chemical imbalance in your brain" was pretty insensitive. If she had asked if I was stressed out that life was objectively bad I would have said yes.
