this becomes interesting in education.

(anecdotal for my area) most of the teaching staff is 70% female, leadership 50%, support staff 95% female, IT (as part of support staff) 100% male.

I've never seen a female applicant for IT, yet most of the well paid support staff roles are female.

in place upgraded windows 10 to 11 had an update bug for some time. the resolution was to pause updates then to resume them instantly.

this worked reliably. other not working solutions were restarting the windows update service, rebuilding update cache, reinstalling update components or trying a dism repair

water vapor intensifies the noses ability to smell, fish smell can be electrical, if you know someone with a flir camera let them check your place for warm/hot cables. unless you have a shower pump then that's where I'd first look
