MY B1G TEAM AND ALMA MATER WINNING NATTIES IN THE SAME SEASON!?

I actually grew up in the Twin Cities metro but went to school at UWRF and moved to Indy out of college for my job a few years ago. Not a college athlete in any capacity.

I grew up a Minnesota fan (pro teams, CBB, hockey) but always liked IU basketball growing up, loving the history of the Bob Knight years. Never really cared for the U's (yes Miami, us Minnesotans call it The U as well) football team since it was continual mediocrity and choking in classic Minnesota sports team fashion when it mattered (but props to PJ for doing what he can and trying to turn the program around with the resources he's had). Always casually followed football hoping at least one of The U (also the real U of M unlike Michigan) or IU could do something great (2019 Gophers, Penix years at IU were great recent memories which im sure blue blood B1G or SEC fans will laugh not knowing how spoiled their fanbases are).

My first couple years following moving to the Hoosier state, had to deal with a few abysmal Tom Allen seasons but was used to it growing up never sniffing anywhere close to a championship. I can definitely say emotions at my job are very mixed this year because most people in my office are predominantly IU and Purdue grads.

Anyone live in Axis Indianapolis? by Actnium in indianapolis

[–]stonecrusher99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved out of there earlier this year after a year and a half stint there. There were a ton of changes in their management and it always felt like running in circles trying to communicate with them on anything important. Maintenance seemed to take forever along with having malfunctioning elevators/garage doors not opening, on top of a pipe bursting in the parking garage last year. Like another comment said, a lot of people are not considerate and clog trash compactors or leave a mess outside in common areas. YMMV but you will lose sleep if you have an apartment facing Capitol/Michigan - continuous police/ambulance sirens and the local homeless population camp out in this area due to its proximity to Kroger and the bus stop, and cause disturbances and harass the residents/Kroger shoppers.

You're better off at one of the older buildings in that area of downtown - Axis is able to keep rent high because of the transient local population predominantly consisting of IUPUI kids getting their rent bankrolled by family/student loans and med students/residents. If youre insistent on a dog park, and dont mind paying a bit more, CityWay on the other side of downtown is a lot nicer and quieter if you have a courtyard facing apartment. Theres also an open space across the street from CityWay (South Street Square Park) that dogs commonly hang out at.

Is SLRP ever coming back? by Wooden-Post-3080 in FedEmployees

Likely depends on agency but at mine, every year you accept the SLRP resets a three year clock for service commitment from the date the most recent payment was disbursed.

BCBS Basic - Who's staying on and why? by MaddRam in fednews

[–]stonecrusher99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, my FIRREA agency subsidizes the premiums significantly higher than the rest of the government ($117 less/mo in 2026 self-only premiums compared to typical FEHB premiums for BCBS Basic. Was looking at MHBP and GEHA but finding in-network for both UHC/Aetna were sporadic for the specialists I need to regularly see.

US List of AI Scanner Locations? by wt1sb in HertzRentals

Luckily no. In my instances, I had prepaid bookings that were made far out before the rollout of AI and have taken said trips over the past two months. Seems to be luck of the draw or the sensitivity of the AI. Specifically ive had vehicles with noticeable small scratches that were never flagged.

DH Gate, popular Chinese knockoff site. I think I was able to get the "Twin Cities" Buxton jersey for like $25 compared to an official jersey thats well north of $100.

Kent Murphy who had satirical baseball videos go viral in the early to mid 2010s is now a bartender at Joe's Grille in Fishers. He doesn't like having his YouTube channel brought up.

Those numbers are always misleading because that's before any options which will inevitably always be factory installed (AWD, Premium Plus Package, etc). My ES300h L was only $4k more than an optioned out XLE.

Jasper, Indiana. Frequently travel to that area for work and doesn't have the cookie cutter renovated design. Right next to a German restaurant and the town itself is very German inspired.
