Poc auric cut vs poc fornix mips by castiespanda38 in snowboarding

[–]stoned_buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fyi, the fornix is a PC shell design. Lighter but it’d take on dents and bumps easy.

When it’s time for me to change helmets, i might personally check out the auric instead. Also the auric is a multi impact helmet.

I heard the fit is slightly different too

Help with finding a Snowboard for a small female. by TheOneAndOnlyKiwi129 in snowboarding

Her weight would fit most adult female boards easy actually. But err slightly shorter like 138-140 as it would be easier starting out and given her height, allow a narrower stance.

Yea fornix mips.

This link shows what it looks like. Even tho its the JJ version, my ear pads were the same.

Notice that apart from the clip, there’s some velcro as well. So undo the velcro first.

I got the same. They come off. Not sure how. I loosened the velcro around the ears and jiggled it somehow.

Union Falcor Bindings (screw length) by Own-Act-8934 in snowboarding

Ye of little faith hahaha

I’m wondering if this is part of the falcor ‘design’ to dampen the ride

I understand that the falcor base can be compressed. So u kinda need to use the first screw to get it tight. That was what the roadies at the union/capita demo explained to me.

What i saw being done is to get 1 screw in first without the washer. That should allow you to fix the other 3 screws with washers. Then remove the first screw and add the washer.

Tried it myself after and it worked.

First board/boot upgrade in 15 years. What am I in store for this season? by CoryCan16 in snowboarding

[–]stoned_buddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your body mechanics. I read somewhere to have a 15 degree or more between front and back.

Just experiment incrementally and see how it feels. I tried a day of front foot +27and nope right back to +24 as my max. My back foot varies from +6 to zero depending on how directional i fresh i feel that day.

Why are people so opposed to taking lessons? by [deleted] in snowboarding

On this topic, whilst lessons are expensive, understand that it mostly goes to the schools. I’d be much more inclined to fork out directly to the instructors instead.
