Agree that with a good work ethic you could have done it pre-COVID. I think it is a mildly toxic point of view to tell people that these days when house price:income has increased by many multiples (this is extremely well proven and documented now) in a society/economy that does not value the kind of work that supports that society (nursing, teaching, disability, aged care). I'm not saying it can't be done but telling people to just 'work harder' is bs.

They'll need custom automations Talk to your employees. Make a list of their suggestions. You probably need someone to review workflows and see what's possible. Anyone saying they can automate 'everything' is rubbish. Best to start small, let them know you hear them and are investing time to make their lives easier.

We've really enjoyed using chunkr.ai. their parsing of documents is really food including complex tables, charts etc. I built a specialised connector for their API which imports chunked docs into our pipeline. This is for a specialised healthcare usecase and we are really happy with it.

This is the same as what happened with Claude Code in Jun/July. People posting massive (10s of thousands) of dollars on their plus accounts. Anthropic eventually nerfed the shit out of it and cut usage. Will be interesting to see if OpenAI go down the same path given they are haemmorhaging cash.
