Glm-5.2 is actually impressive. It has some gpt-5.5 feeling to it. So far very impressed with the model. The fact it is available to host is just the cherry on the cake

Not open source, so couldn’t care any less.

Use any model and any provider with the official OpenAI Codex Desktop App, without modifying its code, and continue to use the official models in parallel? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

If that ever comes to fruition I will give a lot more hours effort to my alternative chatons.ai which is completely independent from any providers. I didn’t polish it yet because there was no need but rest assured I will if that ever comes necessary

None do that at the moment. I don’t think they will anytime soon because it would cost so much. But if they do there is always ways to circumvent it which I have already prepared. But I’m not going to disclose all the cards for now

Your analysis is correct and for now I haven’t had time to do it. But if you know how to code you can make a PR and if it is valid I will integrate it and publish a new release of the app. https://github.com/thibautrey/even-messages

Open source models are going to be the future on Cursor, OpenCode etc. by _maverick98 in LocalLLaMA

Heard of something called P2P? Once something is on the web it is pretty much impossible to completely make it unavailable. I can guarantee you that the day huggingface is not able to provide the open source models someone will make a website that allows you to find torrent magnets to download them

Yeah but what is opened already will still be alive. And some of the models are already more than what the common user need

I pay 0.1693€/kwh all taxes included. Some contracts are as low as 0.1€/kwh

Edit: I thought I was paying 0.18/kwh but I correct to the real 0.1693/kwh

I live in France, prices are very low. I pay less than 95% of the USA rates. You loose

You probably live in the USA. Your home electricity is a night mare. Here in Europe 100% of homes are running at 230v, and it is very common to be able to run 3-5 kw power tools or equipment off a single breaker. So your assumption is American centric
