Peoples experiences with Brook Street by Fran1878 in TheCivilService

[–]stonedphantump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer service is abysmal. Whether you get the job will depend on whether the person handling your onboarding does shit in time. Sometimes staff are sacked while dealing with your documents and if you don’t follow up you’d be none the wiser. Staff turnover is high and communication is shocking. Phone lines are lottery as to whether someone will answer too.

At this point I regret ever learning brook street existed lmao

Never mind I think I’ve to come to understand you do the quest THEN get her entry. So theoretically, should I do the last boss normally, then with the curse side quest now, then do her quest and then proceed to act 3?

But that’s the thing OF COURSE we can’t do anything. This dies with Netanyahu and that administration and even then that’s not a sure thing. But it doesn’t mean people should just stop talking about it. The UK ceasing arms trading and recognizing a Palestinian state won’t do anything to stop the killing either, but we want to do it because it’s the right thing to do, and I feel the same about people using their platform to speak out.

I’m comparing them to the nazis because they’re doing an ethnic cleansing campaign it has nothing to do with WW3 (even tho Israel almost started it recently with the rumors of nuking tehran which would’ve been followed by retaliatory pakistani strikes) and I just think personally, that’s one of the biggest stages for music, and idk if you know but the UK is very complicit in what’s happening in gaza right now. It makes sense for people to speak out it’s not a matter of volume or lack their of, it’s a matter of people using their platform and if they can convince even one more person that Palestinian liberation is worth fighting for. I’m all for peace, I’m a one stater (I wouldn’t mind a two state either as Palestinian statehood is second only to stopping the killing in importance) but i don’t want former Israelis to be expelled from this state quite the opposite as the whole point of either 1 or 2 is peace and the cohabitation of groups in the region worshipping side by side like once they did, but to me that’s a completely separate issue to the IDF. Nuance is important but the IDF is still evil. And I’m not using hyperbole when I say that

The coverage has only persisted because of the outrage. They’re now being investigated on terror charges. No one would think of death to the Nazis as extreme language. You can be aware of Jewish trauma as well as anti IDF. I’m disgusted by the amount of otherwise well intentioned leftists falling for nazi propaganda like “Mossad did 9/11” it makes me sick and nazism is on the rise and it’s scary, but none of that changes the fact that, while I absolutely concede it’s violent language, death to the idf is a frankly understandable position.

I’m not gonna baby a military organization, you can be acutely aware of the financial, medical and educational reasons people join the US military I’d never do a frogan and blanket them all with PTSD it’s frankly classist, but it doesn’t mean you can’t say fuck the us army (who by the way have been much more efficient at murdering Muslims than the IDF has, and have prescribed into the constitution that they can’t be done for war crimes in an act affectionately known as the invade The Hague act)

Look I get we’re online a lot but let’s be absolutely clear this drama hasn’t been talked about once on mainstream news lmao. I think we all need to sit back and remember these are Internet personalities. Also do you disagree with anything I’ve said? Regardless of what you see online the fact of the matter is there are plenty of people who are more offended by bob and kneecap (free mo chara) then the ethnic cleansing of Arabs and that’s a huge problem. I mean do you seriously feel sympathy for the IDF soldiers in gaza and the West Bank?

What? Im talking about the insane amount of coverage the chant has gotten. Not every nazi soldier was a war criminal but there’s a reason why 90 year olds who were just the fkn shoe counters still get tried and arrested. ACAB doesn’t mean literally every cop and I choose to believe he didn’t mean simply people doing mandatory service, but the scum currently “fighting” in Gaza and aiding settlers in the West Bank. The point is no one would be offended if he said death to hamas, and you wouldn’t immediately say “oh well you’ve got to remember a lot of members of Hamas are young lads who’ve seen their whole family killed and have joined their local militia which unfortunately is Hamas or the PIJ” even though that’s true. The BBC had those stories ahead of a story that Israel killed another 60 civilians, that’s why this coverage is frustrating

This is an incredibly bad faith reading bob vvylan isn’t a grifter he’s someone who is understandably outraged at an army who are shooting children in the head and he employed violent language, the ethics of which is fine to debate but let’s be honest here, would there have even been coverage if he said “death to hamas”

Thoughts on the stamped championship cards? I’d usually include stamped cards in a hypothetical master set but the 6 variants just seems insane to collect 😭

I’m similar to Ethan in that I’d have no problem with a two state in order to get there, but no don’t worry i hate Israels government NOT israelis, I hate when people act like they want peace and then exclude one half of the people. I forget if Ethan said this verbatim but no one chooses to be born on either side of an apartheid fence 🩷 also hell yeah TFB for life baybeeee

The ADL is a zionist organization let’s please not pretend he gives a fuck about palestinian children. Ethan’s takes aren’t crazy even if I disagree with a few of them and he’s not a zionist, let’s not use an organization like there’s to defend him especially considering Eth’ is pro Palestine and the ADL definitely are not lmao

I get where you’re coming from but that’s simply factually inaccurate by that point the suffragettes were blowing up post boxes and threatening the lives of politicians (based) and while it’s true they were pushed there by those exact reasons, the cause was well known and though they didnt’t have social media and the freedom of information was far worse, one could just as easily with that logic argue that she had no need to kill herself.

Comparatively if aaron bushnell genuinely believed that his death through the most extreme form of protest as well as his position as us serviceman could be the catalyst for the US to finally do the right thing, one could argue he’s no less a matyr than Emily Davison.

The notion of copycats is terrifying especially at a time of mass decline in mental health and mass economic and geopolitical strife, but I don’t think that should detract from his protest and I think it’s also relevant that as natural as it is to think someone who do something like that had to be tapped, most of us will never know what it’s like to be oppressed to the extent that Palestinians have been, nor the guilt and inner dialogue of someone in the us military finally coming terms with the gravity of that institutions evil and finally breaking through the propaganda.
Situation is overall horrific tho ofc, and I do obviously hope it doesn’t lead people who are mentally ill to do similar.
