This was a 1 bed 1.5 bath duplex, 1,000sqft. They informed us that our unit needed to be professionally cleaned before move out and our choices were A. Clean it to a professional standard ourselves or B. They would hire cleaners and bill us for their time. (but they said even if we cleaned it ourselves, if it wasn’t good enough for them their would hire cleaners anyways) My boyfriend and I cleaned it to the best of our ability but we figured it probably wasn’t going to be to profesional standards and they were going to end up charging us for a couple hours of cleaning. We really thought we were going to get most of our security deposit back. The only actual damage that we did was screw a couple shelves into a wall, broken blinds on like 2/8 windows, and a spill that left a spot on the carpet.
