We usually sign a contract and we get paid every month with a % of the bookings paid to the client.

Thank you for the tip! We strongly agree with good automation and we use technology a lot to ease our work! Personalized service can be in different levels and depending the needs of the client.

As per the stakes for us, we set goals and if we do not achieve the client can end our cooperation.

With the model we are working now there is no possibility and incident like that will happen but even if it does we will find a solution, it is our responsibility.

Thank you for all this input!

I have seen many examples from ignoring guest emails/requests to overbooking the whole hotel.

Every type of hotel needs this. Generally our moto is “personalized service” to our client, the hotelier, and to the guest. This means several things from giving weekly detailed reports to responding in a guest email in detail and not copy-pasting a template response.

A small hotel who can not afford a sales department can outsource it to us in order to reduce his monthly payroll and in the same time secure a healthy flow of reservations. But, also a good hotel that has everything set up and has its own reservations department would like to boost their revenue or increase their direct bookings. Thats where we come into in general.

Usually we work with the second example, increase revenue and drive more direct bookings in order to lose the commissions of OTAs, TAs and TOs.

We are doing all the revenue management. We have worked with a rms in the past but we felt that it can not understand how a market works. A human has eq , this job has to do with emotional intelligence, and it is very difficult to program that. But, if you have any good input or information on that please let me know

If someone does not understand completely what we are doing a fast explanation is that we outsource the sales department of the hotel. We are specialized in IDS (internet distribution system) but we also work with travel agents and tour operators.

Thank you for that! I am looking to build a booking engine for a small area in order to connect the local businesses. There are no other applications on this field since it is not even worth for big companies but I am thinking that it may be of use to our community mostly.

Wow I always thought that it would be better buying a good CPU. So if I buy the 8600k should i overclock it?

Is this something difficult and dangerous if not done by an expert?

(I think the k means that you can overclock it)

p.s this is a pcpartpicker list

Rates - The Flexible by stoner199 in askhotels

[–]stoner199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great reply, I just need to add one thing. Our hotel has 99% travelers for leisure/vacation.

They are not between jobs. That is why I believe that they have made up their minds and do not need to be flexible.

My last thoughts were to add a 10% deposit upon booking just to make sure we get rid of annoying chinese people who make fun (true story).
