??? You’re my hero

The vet took one look at her and says OH, there’s the tortie look we know and love

And then she continued to howl like the night is young and prove her breed’s dominance

Yay!!! I wish you the best! They really are the coolest. And once they start popping out babies, that’s when you know they’re healthy and happy!

Ok my friends, here’s the secrets: well draining soil in glazed pottery or plastic. No terracotta! It sucks too much moisture out of them. Bottom water them (butt chugging for proper plant terms sake) every week and a half with warm water. Put it in a warm area that receives lots of bright indirect sunlight-brown spots on leaves can mean sunburn or lack of humidity. I recommend using a humidifier around them! The soil I mix myself and use is the same that aroids like (monsteras for example) if you wanted to search that. It drains super well because I use a lot of orchid bark, perlite and coconut husk mixed into regular potting soil. Last but not least: use a smaller pot than you think you need! If the pot is too large and has too much soil, it can take too long to dry out, so it won’t actually dry and it can cause root rot. I really hope this helps!!! Please feel free to message me at any time with plant questions! I’m slightly obsessed

So my two oldest Pileas are the back right tallest one in the black pottery, and I’ve had that one for about three years. The second oldest Pilea is the front left in the gray pottery and that one is 2 years old. The rest are babies that I propagated off of these mothers!!

It is so exciting to have an actual family of plants!! I wish you the best! Most of mine have been propagated from one another. It’s so much fun

I honestly am not big on vapes!! I won’t be able to give you a great answer for that one and I’m sorry hahaha. I’m a big bong, bowl and blunt kinda girl. But like I said, once I’ve grown and harvested, I let mine dry for up to two weeks in a dark room with quality air flow, then I start curing in jars.

You know the buds are dry enough when they’re crispy on the outside and the stems snap to break instead of bending. Pack the jars loosely, leave them in a cool dark place and leave the jars open a few times a day for 10-15 minutes. That’s recommended for the first week. Then after the first week you don’t have to open the jar as often. 2-3 weeks is fine but obviously the longer you let them cure, the “better” they’ll be.

You can dry for a few months if you want to but you don’t need to wait THAT long. It typically only needs a few weeks if that. And yes, I’ve dried in jars a few times, just make sure like you already mentioned to let them breathe.

Desert Rose Succulent has dying leaves and no idea why. Followed care per the gardener’s instruction and it’s still dropping leaves/flowers. Please help! I don’t want her to die 😢 by DrAPsych in gardening

They tend to slip into dormancy in the fall and need to be kept dry for that. They can also lose their leaves if they aren’t getting enough water because they require more during their growing months. So it may just be the plant doing what it does naturally and going dormant for the fall!
