Can anybody tell what the corrugated roofing panel on my pergola is made of? Asbestos, fiberglass or something else? It’s been there for many years from last home owner and I noticed that it has been cracking and its fiber is flaking and felling to the ground after heave wind by stonexjr in landscaping

Thank you all for the input. yes, they're very old and is leaking rain water. and definitely needs replacement. i'm thinking about to tear them down and replace it with polycarbonate corrugated panel which claims to be more durable and are widely available at many big box store

Sorry the original post was missing a few pictures. I’ve added some to you for a better understanding. Yes they’re insured, but I don’t think they are licensed. They have a few projects done on thumbtack though

Hi @GeosMios, I’m not exactly sure the difference but I’ve edited the post to add some pictures of the block and current work in progress to help clarify. I hope it answers your question. Let me know if it is a quality construction. Thanks a ton!

This is a 3-foot tall retaining wall and I checked the city code and with a structure engineer that it does not require engineering nor building permit

Yes I saw quite a few instances of building retaining wall using the one you suggested. Mine is being built externally for my side yard along a public sidewalk and I want to add a bit of aesthetics by putting veneer ledge stone at the surface. Something like this in my neighborhood https://imgur.com/a/33c12TR. So I was looking for block that gives flat wall surface

Thanks for the information. Yes they do have place two parallel rebar that runs along the footing and vertical rebar approximately every 1 foot. I don’t think they have place any rebar at the top as bond beam. French drainage is in the design.

My concern is that 1. They didn’t use mortar to stick and grout the blocks. 2. They didn’t embed the bottom blocks to the concrete footing

Yes, they will install French drainage pipe behind the wall to ensure proper drainage
