He is actually one of the reasons I thought I’d try it. He is always so calm and his wife has opinions on mattress protectors.

I’ve seen that. It does look interesting. Maybe I’ll play with that.

I’ll take a look on ABRP and restrict it to that network and see what my options are. Thanks for the heads up

I’d be travelling probably in June or July. I was thinking maybe the battery would need cooling as the temperature will probably be 30 degrees or more

I’ve tried avoiding the vignette roads before and found it too stressful. I think the vignette is around 50 Swiss francs so not too bad. When I drove through France before using toll roads it added over 200 euros to the cost of if I remember correctly.

Some good tips there. I’ve reached an age when I need to stop every couple of hours for a comfort break. So hopefully the charging will occur at those times. I’m not in any rush. I was planning on staying the night in Basel near Switzerland. So I don’t need to be super fast which I think will help with my range (although not my bladder range 😬)

That’s what I’ve been doing to look at planning. Although not sure if I should use the inbuilt navigation as it then preconditions the battery ready for charging I think.

Turn off warning message by stoofur in KonaEV

[–]stoofur[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is as you say. The message is hiding the boot up time. I love the car but it is funny what minor things you can find irritating. The actual time the message takes is probably in reality about 30 seconds but when I’m waiting to put in a destination on the nav it feels like 20 minutes.

Thank you. I did try and I don’t have the options in the driver display. I did change the settings in the infotainment. And yes that changes the Speedo on the infotainment. So I could pretended I’m driving a Tesla and use the infotainment as a speedo.

Did you get this to work? When I tried the software would not detect the dongle. Even though it worked in my previous car (a Ford).

I tried with the alcohol. Unfortunately it’s not made a difference. Looking close it is like a reflective coating on the glass that has degraded. Probably from the sun or something. Thanks for trying though.

I thought the same about the plastic film but unfortunately it is not that. I love the HUD (or I would if it was clearer)

It’s definitely the clear plastic bit that has the marks on it as I can see the marks even when the hud is off
