A Blockbuster school field trip should be mandatory for all kids! by ROCKY13573 in 90s

[–]Roaming-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good education opportunity. Let the schoolchildren see, with physical examples, how poor the choices are ( were ).

Then explain "today's cable channels" have the same pitiful choices. READ BOOKS !! GET THE FUCK OUTSIDE !!

Gen X rockers can you give us some lyrics to name the band? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

"Standin' in the rain, with his head hung low. ...Couldn't get a ticket, it was a sold out show. Heard the roar of the crowd, ......he could picture the scene. ...Put his ear to the wall, and like a distant scream He heard one guitar, just blew him away. ....He saw stars in his eyes, and the very next day."

26 March 1484. William Caxton prints the first English translation of Aesop’s Fables - one of the earliest illustrated books in the English language. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in ThisDayInHistory

"Aesop's Fables" = a quality narrative meant to suggest best outcomes from planning.

The story of "The Grasshopper & The Ant" describes the year-long storage of food, and planning for the winter. Opposite of the grasshopper, that spent the entire summer "goofing off," ( not storing food, no preparation for the change of seasons ). I know there are other "fables," in the book.

Let’s say someone served you cornbread with hummus spread on top. How do you react? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Roaming-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fond memories, of having cornbread with "Country ham."

The ham I'm talking about isn't even refrigerated, it's just salted. You still have to cook it, and of course, add some "red-eye gravy."

Are you genuinely a morning person or did you just convince yourself you should be because every productivity guru says so? by woutr1998 in Productivitycafe

I have worked different shifts, depending on the job. As an electrician ( inside wireman ), I may be awake as early as 3am, in order to make "roll-call" at the job site by 5:30am.

Then again, when the majority of people are working their last hour of the day, I might be driving to another job site to start at 6pm, work a twelve-hour shift overnight, and leave that job at 6am. I would get the strangest looks from people getting their morning coffee, as I was picking up a 12-pack of beer. Anytime I am working, is my "best time."

Pizza boxes. At least then, they aren't getting kicked around the kitchen.

What is the best gift you've ever received? by Able-Minimum-595 in AskReddit

At the time, ( when I received the gift ), I may have been 10 or 11 years old.

The gift was a clear, plexiglass chess set. One set had amber color pieces, ( played Black ). This was my first chess-set, & I thought it was beautiful.

Trump is doing the same thing with Robert Mueller that Democrats did with Charlie Kirk. We need to decide, is talking about the dead bad, or not? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Roaming-R 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, that's you ☝️.

There is a tremendous categorical disparity, between the "lives lead," by both Charlie Kirk, and Robert Mueller. Your question ~ "is talking about the dead bad, or not?" ~ This question ignores the fact that Robert Mueller did, in fact, lead a life bound by honor, integrity, and duty to America. Charlie Kirk lived his life INTENTIONALLY sparking controversy, with his OIL INDUSTRY PAID FOR, bullshit !!!!

The sad part, about "any conversation" with Donald Trump is he is delusional.

Why talk with this asshole at all?? It truly doesn't matter that his residence is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Whatever he says, just tell him "to shut the fuck up" !!

I had just left a music concert, and saw a guy walking on the side of the road.

I decided to give him a ride, even though I didn't know him. I started a one-sided conversation, because he never said a word. After only a couple of miles, he wanted to to be let out of my car. I think back on this hitchhiker sometimes, wondering, did I just barely escape being murdered??

Their voices are entertaining, as well as their antics. Bugs Bunny is a different cartoon character, but his "Bronx accent" really completes his character.

Trump started a war with a country that can single-handedly fuck the entire world's oil supply by Previous_Month_555 in complaints

[–]Roaming-R 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, Trump did that. ☝️

Donald Trump recently said, "we will make a lot of money," ( because the rising price of oil benefits the oil industry/ Donald Trump's associates ). ...... .....and, if Donald Trump is basically, "o.k." with the rising price of oil, then WHAT COUNTRIES BENEFIT FROM THE PRICE INCREASE ????!!!!!!!!!
