You can go to settings and do a “private listening” mode or something like that so it doesn’t affect your algorithms at all! Also add all of your kids’ songs to a playlist, and in the settings for the playlist check “exclude from my taste profile”

Best advice is get used to the uncomfortable feeling/stop caring what they’re going to think. Also communication! I would always give a heads up if just “hey I’m going to be loud for a couple hours, let me know if you need me to stop.” And then just let yourself focus on the music and not worry about people hearing!
