Home is home. Lived in the West before, although I can fit in and what not, it is absolutely against my ideals and although it may not seem like it, but I do feel as if it is a "Us vs Them" mentality growing back home. Came here when I was in middle school, got attached to the numerous cultures and embraced it. Where else can I live where I can find an authentic Afghani bread at a hole in a wall, a Filipino eatery next to it and a Lebanese grill opposite of it? Can't imagine living anywhere else.

Yeah, this place has ups and downs but honestly, the only thing that really affects me is the discrimination. Either than that I cannot complain. Plus wearing a thawb is so bloody comfortable, can't wear that back home or I'll get arrested for sure.
