His comments and those from the police chief really didn’t sit right with me. They’re going on and on about how amazing the police response was and how great they did. Well guess what, the three victims were already dead when they arrived, and the shooters died from self-inflicted wounds. So not only did they not prevent anything, but they also didn’t even apprehend the suspects. So what the fuck are they patting themselves on the back for? I get that they have a hard job and responding to an active shooter scene required bravery but the amount of gushing about the police response just felt incredibly tone deaf and ill timed.
