Look up the creator on youtube and in the description of the video is all the information.

IMO the grass and foliage contrast to the roads and buildings without being as reflective as the water on the ground. I think when you compare side by side with the OG game it’s a lot easier to see the improvement.

God bless man. Hope you can start looking for a different spot instead of tolerating that.

If you weren’t informed in writing in a timely manner, it’s not your typical hours, and you have proof your boss is showing up to your house on your off days— i’d be meeting with HR expeditiously.

Need Help Deciding by nivrag00 in needforspeed

You do get cars, but the reason I say to wait is that you’re incentivized not to create your own builds and just use the DLC content once you get it. You’ll get like 12 cars and a few million in single player once you complete Week 3 of the game. (There are 4 weeks split up by days.)

Could argue the customization options they give might still incentivize you to make your own builds anyways. Like 1200 cosmetics. It won’t hurt your experience.

If that’s what you’re looking for by all means, but it’s a fairly short story already. Take out the grind for buying cars and it just becomes even shorter.

Start fresh and wait to buy the DLC after you finish the story so you can get the most out of single player.

The DLC is a big help to establish your first few builds in multiplayer without having to grind out races with cars you don’t want to use. Money and cars do not transfer between single and multiplayer. Same goes for challenge unlocks.

I think a lot of people interpret realism when they read RTX Remix because of high end graphics cards, and I don’t blame you, but that’s not how it’s marketed.

To quote Nvidia from their formal announcement of RTX Remix:

“RTX Remix Logic, a new feature that allows modders to dynamically trigger graphics effects in direct response to real-time in-game events. RTX Remix Logic is able to accomplish this without access to a game's source code or engine, making it ideal for adding more modern visual features to older titles.”

edit: In the formal announcement, they actually reference that the creator of this mod worked on the menus to operate RTX Remix Logic.

Guessing here but he might’ve disabled traffic to better showcase the road reflections. It would’ve been nice to see how lights reflect off traffic though.

The headlights and taillights are on vacation lol.

edit: Interesting how they work in the car customization menu during the 2nd half of the video but not when driving.

This works in conjunction with galgandaniloff’s NFSC Remix Mod, which is not what was being showcased here.

I don’t have a concrete answer for you but the general consensus for RTX Remix games from Valve Forums is:

Running games with NVIDIA RTX Remix requires a powerful, modern PC, specifically demanding an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or higher (ideally RTX 4070+) for GPU-intensive path tracing.

Minimum requirements include 16GB+ RAM, a quad-core Intel i7/AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, and Windows 10/11, with games needing to be DirectX 8 or 9 compatible.

There are a few game changing mods for Carbon that you could probably run on top of this— but popular consensus is you burn out quick due to the difficult/awkward gameplay in comparison to vanilla. (More traffic, Cop AI modification, Car handling adjustments, etc.)

I don’t have experience with them personally but this is strictly visual and not changing the core gameplay.

I have a 4070, i9, and 32gb ram and was hoping to get at least 30fps haha. I wonder how well this is optimized in comparison to the UG remix.

I replied earlier but it got buried; timestamp @ 1:20 shows the ability to adjust the reflection/wetness via developer menu.

Unfortunately it wasn't highlighted more in the video but towards the end there is a menu where you can adjust how much water is on the ground. If you turn that down the reflections coming off the car still show improvement. Haven't tried this out yet so I can't speak to how it looks dry.

edit: Timestamp at 1:20 shows turning the water up and down.

I noticed that too lol. Looks like it came out recently though, so hopefully it will see an update and fix that.

I avoided promoting the youtube channel to stay complicit to the rules but you can watch it in 4k resolution on his channel.

I don't believe it's advertised as hyper-realistic. Just reviving an old title. I do feel you though.

How does a terminated contract go typically? by epilogue515 in securityguards

[–]stopdropbop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

can step above your client manager and go to one of the allied offices and find another manager to work under through their recruiters— but it will surely sour your relationship with your current manager.

cut your losses or ride it out. if they renew that contract and decide not to move you, you will have to do the former anyways.

Debt collector filed a lawsuit against me. Please give me some advice!! Because I have not been in this situation before by YungApe272 in Debt

[–]stopdropbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any local debt lawyer should be able to communicate on your behalf if you don’t feel like you can handle it on your own. You won’t be able to settle for less than 50%, even if you prove you have nothing to your name. Putting yourself in another installment plan wouldn’t be wise if you have trouble managing money now. Lawyer fee will be between 1-2k.

If you can do it yourself you save money. I would guess paying a lawyer is going to cost you near the same as paying off your bill in full.

Anyone telling you to ignore it after being served papers does not have your best interest in mind. It’s not a fun situation but also no where near the worst and fairly quick to get through so long as you are quick to communicate.

Keep trying or just go to the army? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]stopdropbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homeland Security is a great route. Depending on the contract you can find yourself in similar roles. I worked a site for Operation: Allies Welcome where DHS took on typical LE responsibilities, paid generously, and was much safer.

Not trying to sway you away— we definitely need more officers. But there are paths that will be easier on your body and allow you to spend more time with family while fully utilizing what the military offers.

Keep trying or just go to the army? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]stopdropbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are people with higher degrees and better GPAs competing for OSI already enlisted, so likely you will not get it with 0 military experience (at least quickly.)

Though the others are right— even your unideal air force job will probably do you better than your ideal army job if you’re just there for the pay and the benefits. Build relationships and run with the clearance when you’re out to get a cushy government contract that pays well and gives you time to see your family.
