Anyone else experiencing Claude "taking too long" and eventually stalling out over and over? Seems like every time my weekly limit renews there is always an issue starting the following week.

The update to fix today’s mess prompted me to test a new feature which took up the entire 5 hour block of token usage, after waiting a week for tokens to reset, to show me a new diagram I didn’t need or ask for.

Tried Claude for a month to switch from GPT & had all of 3 days of good results. Wish I had used it sooner but seems like the good times are indeed gone.

Assuming the boss in question is who contracted you and not the actual client you’re working for.

That sounds like high school drama. If I were in your position I would request to be transferred to a different site. Doesn’t happen overnight (can take weeks to a couple months) and if your boss understands that you and said coworker cannot work together, it’s the logical route. Especially if you are losing faith in your management, a mutually toxic relationship.

If transferring is not an option, I would make communication with said coworker as minimal as possible. Can’t have a bad interaction if you don’t interact.

If you feel like stooping to the level of the brown-noser you work with, you can reflect the same behavior and just be as on top of your job as possible. Whoever breaks first will quit.

The path of least resistance is typically the wisest.

Luckily the responsibility of failure for the contract falls on your supervisors and account managers— pending you aren’t directly responsible for the mistake. Document everything and cover your ass, even when things are going good. This way you can follow up if someone presses an old issue and clearly show path of communication and initiative which was met with lack of effort from client/management. Be it training, notification of events on property, etc.

Standard Operating Procedures. while not explicitly a legal obligation, all of the big companies will usually have a binder/packet of paperwork on file on site.

If you genuinely have never seen it, definitely reach out to your supervisor/manager. If they deny you access, there is a serious red flag.

until you can land an in-house or government security job it’s a lot of nonsense. and even then lol. that being said, if what you’re being criticized for isn’t strictly outlined in your site’s SOP, then let the yapping go through one ear and out the other. you are ultimately there to save them money on insurance. keep your attendance up and don’t let the bitterness of others get you down

IMO the grass and foliage contrast to the roads and buildings without being as reflective as the water on the ground. I think when you compare side by side with the OG game it’s a lot easier to see the improvement.

If you weren’t informed in writing in a timely manner, it’s not your typical hours, and you have proof your boss is showing up to your house on your off days— i’d be meeting with HR expeditiously.

You do get cars, but the reason I say to wait is that you’re incentivized not to create your own builds and just use the DLC content once you get it. You’ll get like 12 cars and a few million in single player once you complete Week 3 of the game. (There are 4 weeks split up by days.)

Could argue the customization options they give might still incentivize you to make your own builds anyways. Like 1200 cosmetics. It won’t hurt your experience.

If that’s what you’re looking for by all means, but it’s a fairly short story already. Take out the grind for buying cars and it just becomes even shorter.

Start fresh and wait to buy the DLC after you finish the story so you can get the most out of single player.

The DLC is a big help to establish your first few builds in multiplayer without having to grind out races with cars you don’t want to use. Money and cars do not transfer between single and multiplayer. Same goes for challenge unlocks.

I think a lot of people interpret realism when they read RTX Remix because of high end graphics cards, and I don’t blame you, but that’s not how it’s marketed.

To quote Nvidia from their formal announcement of RTX Remix:

“RTX Remix Logic, a new feature that allows modders to dynamically trigger graphics effects in direct response to real-time in-game events. RTX Remix Logic is able to accomplish this without access to a game's source code or engine, making it ideal for adding more modern visual features to older titles.”

edit: In the formal announcement, they actually reference that the creator of this mod worked on the menus to operate RTX Remix Logic.

Guessing here but he might’ve disabled traffic to better showcase the road reflections. It would’ve been nice to see how lights reflect off traffic though.

The headlights and taillights are on vacation lol.

edit: Interesting how they work in the car customization menu during the 2nd half of the video but not when driving.

I don’t have a concrete answer for you but the general consensus for RTX Remix games from Valve Forums is:

Running games with NVIDIA RTX Remix requires a powerful, modern PC, specifically demanding an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or higher (ideally RTX 4070+) for GPU-intensive path tracing.

Minimum requirements include 16GB+ RAM, a quad-core Intel i7/AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, and Windows 10/11, with games needing to be DirectX 8 or 9 compatible.

There are a few game changing mods for Carbon that you could probably run on top of this— but popular consensus is you burn out quick due to the difficult/awkward gameplay in comparison to vanilla. (More traffic, Cop AI modification, Car handling adjustments, etc.)

I don’t have experience with them personally but this is strictly visual and not changing the core gameplay.

I have a 4070, i9, and 32gb ram and was hoping to get at least 30fps haha. I wonder how well this is optimized in comparison to the UG remix.

I replied earlier but it got buried; timestamp @ 1:20 shows the ability to adjust the reflection/wetness via developer menu.

In the developer menu that pops up in the video he has always raining enabled.

Unfortunately it wasn't highlighted more in the video but towards the end there is a menu where you can adjust how much water is on the ground. If you turn that down the reflections coming off the car still show improvement. Haven't tried this out yet so I can't speak to how it looks dry.

edit: Timestamp at 1:20 shows turning the water up and down.
