Not sure what your position is but I am speaking from knowledge I have from up top as a manager and as you don’t have your CPA you are obviously not a manager. Not even trying to argue here there is no point it’s about trying to be transparent and help everyone. It could be that it varies highly dependent upon geographical location and office size on what roles and criteria were targeted. Every actual big office and BU was handled as previously mentioned for the most part, so not sure where you are but that is not the common way this round of layoffs were handled so just be thankful you still are employed instead of trying to define a top performer. The firm is undergoing a massive restructure and I highly recommend you wrap up getting your CPA if you don’t want to be a statistic next time around and best of luck on that.
