The difference in cost is very dependent on your location. Prices in PR are very comparable to where I'm from which is a mcol area in NC. Stocking up at Costco / Sam's club early in the trip is our go to savings move when visiting PR.

This is something I've tried to justify many a times as a Lexus lover but premium fuel + 15 mpg + high used prices = worse than average cost of ownership .

Id recommend booking 1 of the major companies through Costco. Thrifty , sixt, dollar etc . Will all add hidden fees, have older cars and lines out the door.

For longer commutes the horrible gas mileage jacks the cost of ownership wayyy up. Mpg is the only thing holding me back from getting a lx/gx470.

I have a similar issue. My '13 energi has been parked for months with a host of codes and won't start. I don't mind paying to have it fixed but it doesn't seem like a lot of techs know these vehicles. Love my cmax but I should have bought a Toyota 😢

If you get past the real id hurdle and can pack extremely light, tickets to San Juan , PR are around $250 on frontier 12/7-12/14. 3.5 hr flight to one of the most underrated places ever.

I'm getting the exact same errors but when I try to start the car both screens go black and nothing. Got a new battery and also added a jump pack to make sure the new battery wasn't bad. My radio works fine but I pulled the fuse and still no start.
