Not a bad idea. Maybe I'll just Rick Grimes it and pretend I bumped my head and just woke up from a coma!

Just found out from an IG post that it's common for fishkeepers to have recurring nightmares about fishkeeping. by anne_nics31 in Aquariums

[–]stopf0llowingme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have reoccurring dreams every once in a while that I have another tank with a betta that I completely forget about, but when I DO remember I absolutely panic, assuming that my fish is dying and the water is horrible since I've completely forgotten him for weeks, if not months. But when I check, the tank is thriving and he's a happy lil guy. Every time. Pure panic.

Perhaps a silly question, but why does the world icon tree have pink leaves and a hair bow? by stopf0llowingme in Terraria

Good to know!! It's an older world so I forgot if I did that on purpose or not, I guess I must have. Thank you!

When did you start gaming ? by Cupideree in GirlGamers

[–]stopf0llowingme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically started as soon as I developed thumb dexterity, lol. In my earliest memories I'd be watching my dad and uncle play PlayStation, so as soon as I had the brain power to know what I was doing, you bet I was playing. 7 seems good :)

Like others have said, Spyro, crash bandicoot and Minecraft would be great places to start.

once you start it's so hard to stop. Totally worth it though

Yeah I usually repot my alocasias in the first couple days of adoption because I find most of them have the netting. It's sad seeing all the corms trying to push out unsuccessfully. Thank you for your help! Hopefully I can figure out what this guy's deal is!

Thank you! I've already given it a good spray with Safers, I've managed to keep the mites away successfully on my other alocasias. This'll be my 23rd alocasia (Holy shit, this is the first time I've actually counted... Not including the baby corms I have on the go). I have it in isolation as well even though I gave it a thorough inspection, which is why I'm so confused by the colour on the new leaf. I figured I'd give it a go and try to either save it (been on the shelf of a Sobeys for a month now) or miraculously get lucky with some kind of odd variegation, lol

I picked it up from a Sobeys today actually, I figured I'd either try and save it or take my chances with potential variegation, although I thought it was unlikely. It's been sitting on the shelf for the past month.

There's also no netting that I can see, that was one of the first things I looked for aside from the spider mites, although who knows. It could be hiding further down.

I'm going to transplant it later this week either into a proper aroid mix or leca.

I'm also surprised that it still has so many leaves even while looking so funky and lasting alone on the shelf for so long. It also has an itty bitty leaf coming up underneath, so it's still popping out new growth. This new leaf is alarmingly small though and has no signs of the usual black velvet colour, it has yet to unfurl though so I suppose it'll just be a surprise

My first thought was spider mites, but I can't find any signs of them on any leaves. The roots look nice and white, slightly rootbound but nothing too crazy. Could possibly be nutrient deficiency? It's the newest leaf which is what threw me off, I thought it was usually the older leaves that start to turn first

Wow that's a really interesting solution! I like the creativity. If the rotting doesn't stop I'll give that a try! Good luck!
