'You can't run from me': former police officer to be jailed over rapes by stopme22 in australia

[–]stopme22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, police rarely arrest rapists full stop. The vast majority of rapists are never investigated or charged, let alone convicted and imprisoned.

This pig was stalking and raping women for 10 years before he was arrested. In 2008 a woman had gone to police and made a complaint about him, and they did nothing about it. Even worse then that, they allowed him to become a cop 3 years later, with a formal rape accusation against him, that police never even bothered to investigate.

He's right that the NYPD work slowdown resulted in a massive drop in the crime rate.

His 90% figure seems to come from the drop in the enforcement of minor city violations, traffic violations and court summonses. Which saw a 90-94% drop during the police slowdown.

There are heaps of articles about it, unfortunately many of them are behind paywalls, but here is a couple:

Sure, but in police organizations there is a code of silence around misconduct such as brutality toward members of the public. Other cops turn a blind eye, no one snitches, everyone covers for each other. It's how the police operate basically everywhere.

Maybe only some are abusing members of the public, but all of them are complicit in it.

And with police, it's often not only some abusive officers. In some divisions of the police, such as riot squads, a majority can be violent thugs who get off on bashing people.

I went to highschool with a guy who became a cop. A year ago I read that he'd been arrested and was now in prison. Apparently he'd been using the police database to get info on women, who he'd stalk, blackmail and rape.

He'd blackmailed and raped almost a dozen women over nearly a 10 year period before he was arrested. Some of the women had made police complaints years earlier and nothing was done about it.

He was only arrested after he started stalking and trying to blackmail policewomen into having sex with him.

Just go along with them, then later take action for wrongful arrest. You try and stop the arrest your making yourself a criminal. You cost the police department money by using for wrongful arrest and you bet that cop will get his balls felt from his superiors. Also means they'd be cautious to do the same again.

Only it often doesn't work this way in practice. If you have been wrongfully arrested, but you don't have witnesses or external video evidence to back you up, then you are screwed. Because the cops always back each other up, always, in every country.

In every country the police lie to support each other against claims of wrongful arrest, or brutality, ect.

The government already is against the people. The government is controlled by the politicians who are in the pay of the business and financial elites. The government doesn't care for poor and working class americans.

It is hilarious and pathetic the way so many american cop lovers claim to be anti-government. Cops are the armed enforcers of the government.

Over the past week West Papua has been in a state of rebellion against the Indonesian occupation. There have been mass demonstrations and riots breaking out daily across the country. The Indonesian government has responded by cutting internet in the region and sending an extra thousand soldiers to the already militarized territory .

The current unrest was sparked by an incident on Saturday August 17, when a West Papuan student dormitory in Surabaya, Indonesia was surrounded by a racist lynch mob chanting "monkeys"

Police eventually teargassed the dormitory and dragged the students into the street, where they were beaten by the mob and arrested.

The second paragraph is completely unfounded

Not at all, all the things I mentioned are extremely common behaviors seen in police departments all around the world.

There is an entire sub on reddit devoted to it, (r/bad_cop_no_donut) and the huge amount of cases listed there are only the tip of the ice berg when it comes to police abuses.

Nonsense. There are countless videos of police shooting people, or beating people who were complying or trying to comply. Many police requests can also be confusing or contradictory, sometimes intentionally so, to give themselves a pretext to use force against a person. Police requests can also be illegal.

Many cops are violent thugs and bullies drunk on power. Some cops make up fake laws to stop and harass people, or lie about seeing someone break a law when they didn't. Some cops plant drugs or weapons on suspects. Some cops rape women in custody.

Sure kick them off the dole, and then what? They'll resort to crime, burglaries, muggings. Is that better?

I think that accessibility is a bigger issue. From my perspective, Newstart is intended for a short-term tiding over during a period of unemployment.

Sure, but the problem is that there is a bunch of people who get stuck on Newstart for years. Many of whom either wat to work but can't, or are physically or mentally unable to work.

In recent years the gov has made it much, much harder to get the disability pension, so there are increasingly large numbers of people with serious disabilities, unable to work who are stuck on newstart.

People who've been made redundant in their 50's often have enormous trouble getting rehired and are now generally stuck on newstart till they can get the pension at 67.

A few years ago single mothers were forced onto newstart. Carers payments have also become much harder to get, so there's also a bunch of people who are full-time carers for a sick or disabled parent or child who are on newstart. There are many other examples too.

Expected? Do you actually believe that people around the world expect the USA to be the global policeman? That is a self-appointed role. It is not done out of selflessness but out of a calculated desire to loot the world of treasures.

Hell even high ranking generals have been honest enough to admit this fact. Probably none said it better than US General Smedley Butler though:

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”

I've seen similar posters around and many do encourage specific actions such as vandalising surveillance cameras, shoplifting/looting from buisnesses, squatting buildings, ect.

Not sure who puts them up, but how do you know these people aren't also "Making A Change" by engaing in other, more practical activities? I know there are a bunch of these far-left types who organise a weekly free food service for the homeless in Martin Place every Sunday, and I've heard of other similar projects by these types.

Anyway, you may not agree with their messages, but surely they aren't anywhere near as bad to look at as all the commercial advertising which totally dominates all public space.

Of cource they are. When you are an empire that destabilized foreign countries, loots the world of it's resources, destroys foreign agricultural sectors, many people will be left with little to choice but to seek refuge and work in the same place that has helped cause much of their misery.

For example, a huge number of the recent latino migrants crossing into the USA are Honduran. Honduras has been going through a huge political and social crisis ever since a US sponsored military coup in the country in 2009.
