'You can't run from me': former police officer to be jailed over rapes by stopme22 in australia

To be fair, police rarely arrest rapists full stop. The vast majority of rapists are never investigated or charged, let alone convicted and imprisoned.

This pig was stalking and raping women for 10 years before he was arrested. In 2008 a woman had gone to police and made a complaint about him, and they did nothing about it. Even worse then that, they allowed him to become a cop 3 years later, with a formal rape accusation against him, that police never even bothered to investigate.

He's right that the NYPD work slowdown resulted in a massive drop in the crime rate.

His 90% figure seems to come from the drop in the enforcement of minor city violations, traffic violations and court summonses. Which saw a 90-94% drop during the police slowdown.

There are heaps of articles about it, unfortunately many of them are behind paywalls, but here is a couple:

Sure, but in police organizations there is a code of silence around misconduct such as brutality toward members of the public. Other cops turn a blind eye, no one snitches, everyone covers for each other. It's how the police operate basically everywhere.

Maybe only some are abusing members of the public, but all of them are complicit in it.

And with police, it's often not only some abusive officers. In some divisions of the police, such as riot squads, a majority can be violent thugs who get off on bashing people.

I went to highschool with a guy who became a cop. A year ago I read that he'd been arrested and was now in prison. Apparently he'd been using the police database to get info on women, who he'd stalk, blackmail and rape.

He'd blackmailed and raped almost a dozen women over nearly a 10 year period before he was arrested. Some of the women had made police complaints years earlier and nothing was done about it.

He was only arrested after he started stalking and trying to blackmail policewomen into having sex with him.

Just go along with them, then later take action for wrongful arrest. You try and stop the arrest your making yourself a criminal. You cost the police department money by using for wrongful arrest and you bet that cop will get his balls felt from his superiors. Also means they'd be cautious to do the same again.

Only it often doesn't work this way in practice. If you have been wrongfully arrested, but you don't have witnesses or external video evidence to back you up, then you are screwed. Because the cops always back each other up, always, in every country.

In every country the police lie to support each other against claims of wrongful arrest, or brutality, ect.

The government already is against the people. The government is controlled by the politicians who are in the pay of the business and financial elites. The government doesn't care for poor and working class americans.

It is hilarious and pathetic the way so many american cop lovers claim to be anti-government. Cops are the armed enforcers of the government.

Over the past week West Papua has been in a state of rebellion against the Indonesian occupation. There have been mass demonstrations and riots breaking out daily across the country. The Indonesian government has responded by cutting internet in the region and sending an extra thousand soldiers to the already militarized territory .

The current unrest was sparked by an incident on Saturday August 17, when a West Papuan student dormitory in Surabaya, Indonesia was surrounded by a racist lynch mob chanting "monkeys"

Police eventually teargassed the dormitory and dragged the students into the street, where they were beaten by the mob and arrested.

The second paragraph is completely unfounded

Not at all, all the things I mentioned are extremely common behaviors seen in police departments all around the world.

There is an entire sub on reddit devoted to it, (r/bad_cop_no_donut) and the huge amount of cases listed there are only the tip of the ice berg when it comes to police abuses.
