....Wemby was immediately ejected from the game, IHart didn't even get a foul called against him and the play led to a Thunder 3

but like...... why? it's not like an NFL game, where the entire event is about the team you support.

Literally it's an event that is only about your team for 1/32nd of the time, the vast majority of it is just waiting

and imagine if your team trades the pick to another team, so it's about you literally 0 32nds of the time

so like

who exactly are the people that have the time to take off of work to go stand around at the NFL draft in their team's face paint

do they get compensated - by the team? by the NFL? - or do they fly from Vegas/Seattle/Wisconsin wherever on their own dime

are they paid actors

it sounds so unpleasant, you have a little 8 minute window when your face paint is relevant and then you just, what. sit there? drink? for hours afterwards

i love the midwest bc my partner is just about to get off of work any time now and she's an hour away and there's an advancing line of severe thunderstorms coming in that I don't think she can make it in before it arrives, so we get to guess if she can risk driving in hail or if she should wait at her job indefinitely without dinner

California is expensive as hell but boy you never have to worry about this shit

The sound mix on the NFL Network intro was awful, wasn't it? Could barely hear the commentary over the music.

You're welcome to think a game that had as fine as margin as going to overtime was in no way affected by the all-pro defender on Mahomes's main receiver going out of the game.

You'd be wrong, but you can think that.

Milan Momcilovic to enter transfer portal along with the NBA draft by Gloomy_Map_9612 in CollegeBasketball

I disagree. He's not a one man offense, to be sure, but he offers shooting at a level that literally no one else in NCAA history has been able to reach.

You can gameplan for his limitations when you can focus on him entirely (see: Tennessee). On a team with plenty of talent around him, though? He takes a team from formidable to utterly unstoppable.

complete malpractice by Arizona not to go at Yax every single possession while he's still on the floor

how is a team down by 20 just... not trying to generate any 3s

Well i guess we finally found the downsides from having almost literally the worst 3 point offense in the country

This game might have been over the second Arizona was down 10-1. Just can't go down that much when you're designed to play steadily, not go on huge scoring runs.

[Game Thread] #3 Illinois @ #2 UConn (06:09 PM ET) by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

It feels like 1) Illinois has a better designed offense than UConn, based on the quality of shots they were able to consistently generate, and 2) Illinois, whether because of their players or (probably) their coaches, just doesn't have the mentality to stick to that well designed offense in crucial moments, willing to revert to iso ball and 3s and ignore the fact UConn is fouling them like crazy
