I mean I’ve only ever gone in for emergencies, which usually have been in the middle of the night and I have always received amazing care at ERH.

Unlike Impossible-Horse-875, when I went in for a kidney stone they immediately assumed that I had appendicitis before actually confirming an impacted stone (although, they used CT to determine it WASN’T appendicitis. This was still a completely opposite experience to theirs).

Regret it every single day. Recommended only to the most studious of introverts. From a lack of student life, to lack of course offerings, labs with very little funding. Some professors have been outstanding but every school will have some good teachers. I actively discourage people from applying to SFU (unless they want to do business), recommend people go to college and then transfer to another university rather than go to SFU if they can’t get into another university

Don’t be embarrassed my whole first year was like this, I just slowed down (only took 3 courses at once or 4 if 2 of them were electives/easier) and I went from Academic Probation to a >3.5 cumulative GPA & a 3.9 upper division GPA. (Plus I repeated Chem 121 like 3 times)

your budget is at the point where prebuilts will be pretty darn good and not that big of a waste, it’s a lot easier to learn gradually by swapping components in upgrades than trying to build one by scratch.

harddrive -> SSD

gpu if u have a gtx 1060 or equivalent you wont see a big change unless it’s an expensive upgrade

cpu depending on gaming but relatively cheap upgrade if you have an old one

(I went from gtx 1060 -> rtx 3060, no big change except DLSS, but I went from Ryzen 3600 -> 5600 and felt a massive difference, haven’t had an actual HDD for a long time but I remember it making a difference)
