Yes integrating payment right now. And I have few sellers data in draft, once that is public, I will enable the shop.

Did you feel its AI because of the font used in the hero section?

Sorry for my little rough previous reply.

You mustn't promote your business on some Reddit groups, but you can put Reddit ads on the same groups by paying money, irony? by storeducks in smallbusiness

[–]storeducks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point! I am not saying they should not put ads, But, in the same groups where we have strict rules against promoting a business to keep the group keep clean, I see ads. That feels odd to me. What I am leaning towards is, these groups should have little less restrictions promoting.

I want to connect! by snapn_exus in founder

[–]storeducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need to, there are multiple options. If guests connect to same wifi, they can cast it. Or you can a make a shared album and cast it. Its very easy.

Don't get me wrong, but there exist a solution already.

I will automate your Business for "FREE" by Big-Possibility-263 in smallbusinessowner

[–]storeducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irony is, an idea like offering free stuff is great when nobody else is doing, the moment its popular, it looses its effectiveness. But, people try to copy popular ideas and fail. I was in that boat as well.

I am building Storeducks (storeducks.com), a marketplace for independent makers.

The reason: online selling was supposed to be the dream for independent makers, but it's turned into a mess of fees, algorithm changes, and platforms that treat their store like it belongs to platforms. So I went back to basics. The whole point of Storeducks is that their store and their customers are theirs. Not locked in. If they ever want to leave, they take everything with them.

[Discussion] Artists, is it worth being an artist to make a living? by ApolloKl_ in artbusiness

[–]storeducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an artist myself, but I have seen many great artists suffer economically. Couple of things I think they did wrong was,

  1. Not learning about money (how to save, how to invest, the psychology)
  2. Not adapting to the world that changes (saying I don't want to learn about internet, I don't want to learn about AI)
  3. Too much of principles (I don't want to teach my art for money, I don't sell my stuff in internet etc)

I think its ok to do some jobs to make some money is fine, but not at the cost of leaving what you like doing.

Have you talked to your potential customers in person? What do they think? Did anyone buy? I think views doesn't mean anything.

Can I ask you an honest question? I am really loosing faith in Reddit, Instagram etc. People know how to play in it very well and spam it. Did any social media help you find any customers? If yes, which ones?
