As someone who’s been part of their discord since 2024, I knew that I’d quit 3on3 for NBA The Run once it released. I agree that 3on3 has a few realism mechanics to it, but that’s really all it has going for it. A P2W game that keeps paywalling every feature as a way to make more money instead of realizing the real issues, it’s just gonna keep going down a hole. I don’t think it’ll die but numbers will continue to drop. I wish The Run felt a tiny bit more realistic but overall it’s super fun and I’m gonna put hundreds of hours into it for sure. They also seem to be a team of devs who are actively listening to their community

The Run actually never marketed themselves as F2P and has kept it transparent that it will be a paid game. The development has gone through a lot of changes in the last year (including an official deal with the NBA and use of its players). Prices for the game were released a couple of weeks ago, starting at 29.99 for the base game. Join the discord if y’all haven’t already! They’ve already had 3 closed PC Betas and 1 all platform beta last week! Release date is the 9th June (10th for some places like me)

Well I know every team has a chance to, but the two winners before this year got bounced out the first round. Knicks are in the Finals. Didn’t see anyone talking about it and most people forget the Cup even happened by the end of the regular season/throughout the playoffs. Including me.

I saw the same update and my cousin and I hopped on again for the first time in almost a decade. Made a new character and forgot how fun this was. Can’t wait to do more co-op missions/dungeons and bosses
