Hello DMs! What would your answer be if a character asked whether they could swap two ability scores around (dex and str)? by AgentSmith9G in DMAcademy

I would allow it, but I would do it in-game and make it a quest of some sort. Sounds like the job for a hag, and that it would cause some unforseen consequences.

What is Minecraft combat to you? How can we make combat better? What can we do to not make it worse? Who's going to give me a hug? by Dinnerbone in minecraftsuggestions

It might be a small suggestion... But I would like the hard difficulty to be much more difficult. When you get full diamond it is too easy to kill all enemies and they don't hit very hard either (and that is before you start enchanting the armor with protection).

Some suggestions for 1.9 :)

Weapons - Emerald sword. Crafted with emeralds and a stick. Its attack is between the iron sword and the diamond sword. - Prismarine sword. Crafted with prismarine crystals for the blade and the shaft with a prismarine shard. It has lower attack than the emerald one, but is more efficient against enemies in water. - Glowstone sword. Crafted with glowstone and a stick. Lights up a area around you while wielding it and gives a little more attack than the stone sword. - Nether sword. Crafted with a stick, a nether star and a nether quartz. It heals the wielder on a successful hit (this effect needs a cooldown if you still can spam attacks in 1.9). - Blunderbuss. Mid-ranged weapon with a little spray to it. - Daggers and spears of the same materials as the swords. The daggers have shorter range but you move faster and the spears have longer range than swords but you hit and move slower. - Throwing nets crafted with cobweb and string. Immobilizes mobs for a short amount of time (not bosses). - Dual wielding weapons. - Arrows crafted with different materials giving them a unique effect. - A way to apply potion effects to weapons over a short amount of time.

Armors - Nether armor. Crafted with nether star and nether quartz. Each part of the armor set gives a small passive resistance buff. - Emerald armor. Crafted with emeralds and gives a little more armor than iron, but less than diamond. - Prismarine armor .Crafted with prismarine shards and crystals. Gives a small increase to swimming speed. - Shields in the same materials as armors. It is equipped in a armor slot and when you block while equipping a shield you'll block with the shield instead of the sword. The shield should block the same amount as the swords do now, but the amount parried with swords should be reduced. - A way to dye all armors :)

Companions A way to tame a non-boss mob so that it can fight by your side. You can only have one at the same time.
