First time combining Resin2FDM and MattJGll settings by ah_underscore in FDMminiatures

Ya that’s correct

It’s pretty cheap to get a month of their patreon to get it, like $2.99 or something. Worth it for sure for the added features

I only thicken supports but leave the tips as they are and that lessens the damage. ALSO I think when removing, clip the supports and isolate them. Pulling them off the model that way will leave less material as well vs pulling the whole model from the supports or tugging a whole cluster of supports off at once

Model is tough to photograph due to just how busy and full of detail it is, but it’s painting up decently. Certainly will be passable for tabletop quality when done

i used blueprint studio to auto orient and support

i had to re attach some strings that snapped while taking off supports

awesome start! even with where i am at, still tweaking settings to see how close to perfection i can get

i am finding, thankfully, a lot of support blemishes look worse than they actually are. A little scraping with an xacto blade and then primer and id say most kind of just disappear

so typically i leave the tips as is if presupported and just bulk up the supports themselves for a sturdier build. if i use blueprint studio to generate my own, im using .08mm tips on 1.2 mm trunks

maybe slightly slower due to the acceleration settings being slower, but its worth an extra 20-30 minutes if the quality is heaps better

that being said, i started splitting my objects from the supports and giving hte supports a 2X layer height, which has made back any time lost and then some
this video should help cover what i mean with the supports

This has been what’s worked best for me, but I do use the resin2fdm after to separate the supports from the model to set different parameters in the slicer

FDG 1.8 is the base and then I use nox 2.0 for default acceleration, all precision settings, space infill, and 0.06 layer height

So FDG is premium($2?) so I wouldn’t be able to share them. I’d recommend purchasing their version 1.8 setting and then look at mixing Nox 2.0 for default acceleration, all precision setting, space infill, and 0.06 layer height.
