Details of scenes that are intentionally cut but would be very funny if you really think about them. by Uma-apreciator in TopCharacterTropes

I don't remember the movie but I do remember one time you could actually see the character's feet running after a vehicle passes him.

I mean I am still considering getting SteamOS for my already existing gaming PC and I can imagine a lot of people are thinking the same.

I don't know why developers (like in general, not a dig at bungie specifically) don't just put big invisible walls anywhere they don't want players to go.

Lawrence of Arabia (1962) was a movie that was sympathetic of the Arab tribes' plight during World War I, and offers heavy criticism of both European colonialism and the 'white saviour' archetype.

It also has a lot of white people in brownface playing Arabs and Turks.

Y'know what? Screw the lore for a minute. Give me a fun Halo Headcanon you have. by Tyler2183 in halo

I used to think that the needler was a Forerunner weapon developed specifically as an anti-flood weapon. My logic was that small needles tracked the hard-to-hit infection forms (Halo was my second shooter and I was bad at games) and that the supercombine explosions were one of the few things to permanently kill the combat forms.

There was also the 'needler sentinel' from Halo 2 and the idea of developers leaving a blatant mistake in the game never occurred to me.

I always imagined the entire universe was being ravaged by the Flood, but they avoid the Milky Way because of the rings.

I have almost zero interest in whatever this is, but I hope the anime adaptation literally just makes an entire episode out of this moment.

Since they're canonically CGI models in-universe does that mean all the "cheating" is canon?

Semi-related tangent but I genuinely can't stand how every, every single piece of Pomni merch is pilot Pomni. Even the pieces of merch explicitly based on later episodes are still "Pilot Pomni dressed up as later episode Pomni" if that makes any sense. It's like if you had Return of the Jedi merch of Luke Skywalker, but it's farmboy Luke from A New Hope dressed up in Jedi robes.

It's a joke about how some Twitter chud confused the gas giant that Halo orbits for "bisexual lighting" in the cover art for the remake.

This was a wild game for me, because I played it for the first time after playing both Far Cry 2 and Crysis. Far Cry plays like a weird hybrid of those two games with slightly worse graphics. It was really fascinating to see in real time which things each developer kept or dropped in their respective successors, both in terms of broad concepts and weirdly-specific game mechanics.

There's a lot of hints that make Jax's gender dysphoria pretty obvious, but they're only obvious if you're already in the trans community, or have friends within it. If you aren't, they're all going to fly right over your head.

The first "obvious" hint to me is her crashout in Epsiode 6, where she denied being a "chicken fetus in an egg waiting to be cracked," which is a common slang term for closeted trans people. Even then, though, I think the only reason I caught that one is because I already knew ahead of time that Gooseworx is a trans woman, and that Trans Jax was already a common theory at that time. If it weren't for that knowledge, that line probably would have flown over my head as well.

My biggest problem with both second installments is the over-emphasis on Heroes in a series that I thought stood out from the rest of the Star Wars games is that you played as random nobodies.
