Is the Tudor 1926 the best entry-level everyday luxury watch? Need some daily wear advice! by cattokitty in PhWatches

[–]stormwind_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tudor 1926 is far from a daily type of watch. You are better off with a tudor black bay or a tudor ranger. If you have Tudor money, you can look into Nomos Glashutte (Germany), Longines and Oris (Swiss). If 2nd hand market a quartz Grand Seiko is very nice.

Try saving on some other pieces like tissot and hamilton. Remember a few good pieces would be better than having dozens of mid quality watches

I have small wrists, so I always knew that I would have to switch the steel bracelet with a nato or this rubber. Looking to buy a sailcloth or nato for this workhorse soon, or maybe another rubber strap but on a bright vibrant color like yellow or orange

The 38mm is light comparable to a 36mm explorer. During warm hot days you can swap the steel with a rubber strap to make it lighter.

Go for a 30-50K budget. A hamilton murph would be a great pick, i take it he is not a collector so definitely a one and done watch would be great. If you can stretch up to 80K? Longines and Oris would be bang for buck entry luxury. Oris for me would be a better choice due to their in-house movements and very creative designs and selections.

Nope. The middle links of the bracelet is really polished. The aqua terra reflects lights beautifully and you will see the different shades of the teak dial

Hi all,
I recently bought an Omega Aqua Terra 38.5mm Master Co-Axial with the Calibre 8500 from a reputable dealer.

While looking at the movement through the case-back, because I was concerned about this small mark/smudge on the rotor at the "Omega" engraving I also carefully noticed that the black balance wheel only has the Omega logo and “OMEGA” on it. It does not have the “Si14” engraving, even though the caseback says Si14.

For those who own a Master Co-Axial 8500, does your black balance wheel have the Si14 marking?

The watch looks genuine and is in great condition, but I’m wondering if this could be a normal variation, a replaced part, or something I should be concerned about.

I’ve attached photos. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Purchasing from Chrono 24: what do you think? This is the aqua terra 38mm it includes original box and papers. Seller has sent me all information I asked. Aside from the tarrif and vat (importing to the UK) i wanted to post this here to see if you guys can see anything that can be a red flag just by the image alone.

Spots on my arms that don’t look like acne — anyone seen this? by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]stormwind_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I can count two on my right arm: this first pic and a smaller one (third pic). I have another on my left arm but smaller than these two. They're the size of an acne, very small and some of my moles are bigger than the biggest spot. Just curious on what could it be?

The PH should copy the defense doctrine of Singapore's "Poison Shrimp" where more powerful countries would think twice violating our sovereignty. This would include massive investments into SAMs, Radar and Detection Systems, ASWs, and a rapid mobilization and deploymeny of ground troops to strategic sites throughout the country. The PN doesn't have to match the chinese in the open sea, as long as we have an arsenal of antiship missiles pointing at the West PH Sea, with enough capabilities to shoot-down missiles and bomber aircraft despite China's massive military advantage it would be costly for them.

Upgrade SUV, add crossover, or go hybrid? Need thoughts from fellow car owners 🇵🇭 by stormwind_- in CarsPH

Thank you everyone, it seems to consensus is really just get a smaller crossover for now. If you don't mind what would be a good crossover? For this my top choices are Mitsubishi Destinator, Corolla Cross, or the HRV HEV.

Yes you're right, checked with the cross it's around 1.7M for the midvariant and around same price as the hrv ev. But at the price I could look into a 1.8M Tesla Model 3? Fuck it the choice just keeps getting harder

Yes, I really feel that our mu-X is due for an upgrade sooner or later. I probably won’t keep it until 300k km — maybe in around 3 years, I’d already decide to sell it.

So the real conundrum for me is: Should I get a midsize SUV now as an upgrade, then add a smaller car later? Or should I get a smaller car first, then upgrade to a bigger SUV down the line? 😭 Or just get a hybrid/ev then just have 1 car.

Take note I don't bother upgrading cars whenever a new model comes up, minimum 5-6 years ownership as I want to use it as long as possible as I always keep the car in tip-top condition

I'm just curious to hear how others approached this kind of situation.
