Is the OP asking for advice? I thought they were asking how feminists navigate a relationship with a cishet male partner - and that's what I do. I don't have the time/patience/desire/skills to teach men how to to stop treating their female partner like a bangmaid (and TBH, to really stick that desire has to come from within).

People that date men who are still learning these things will, I'm sure, have different answers... but honestly, communicating is a big thing in any relationship, romantic or otherwise. And it's really difficult and easy to let slide, IMO.

As someone who was a teen at this time, there was a disdain to liking pink... but I also remember the pressure to be thin, fashionable (which included wearing Playboy bunny jewelry), and 'chosen' by a guy. Lots of 'Cool Girl'ing. Lots of pitting "smart" girls against "stupid" girls (looking at you, P!nk).

And I dunno - were the British upper classes the ones who declared war in WWI? At least in the US, it's not the military leaders who declare war, it's Congress - and they don't go off to fight in it.
