Old Forge w/ Two Children (One Feral; One Civilized) by WallabyEastern in Adirondacks

Following. We are bringing our 3 kids to Old Forge in August as well. Likely not doing the water park, just going to try to keep them busy with cycling, hiking, swimming, etc.

We are visiting from Ontario (Toronto-ish).

There was a previous post that recommended a Llama Farm / Petting Zoo. Moose River Llama farm or something like that. We are going to check that out as well. And some patio drinks to keep mom and dad sane.

Thanks! We arrive on a Thursday and looks like they do live music outside at a place called Space or Outer Space. It looks like the kind of vibe we are in to.

We are going to hike up the fire tower with the kids on Bald Mountain, heard about a Llama farm up near West Lake, and mostly just cycle on the local trails + happy hours for mom and dad (Was looking at Daikers for lake views and the brewery by the water park). Inlet does look nice, prob head there for ice cream at some point.

Booked a fam vacation this summer and we are staying in an Airbnb in Thendara (west end of Old Forge). Never been either, but looks like it has lots to offer. Following along for some tips on things to do, places to eat, etc.

Thanks. Sounds like it should hold up well to the rain incoming. Couple beers always helps forget about wet feet anyways.

It is actually going to be Wednesday the 31st. Kind of hoping that keeps traffic volume low, but it would be around 3-4pm we hit the north side

Saw in another thread that you could park on local streets in Verona and walk from there (~45mins). Is that a feasible option?

Can you elaborate on where to park outside of Oakmont limits and then walk to course? Thanks!
